You are one of the bad ones. Mischievous, trouble making, etc. People look down at you, but for some reason are still very interested in you. You are usually quiet and fairly organized, even if you don't own a lot. You work really hard to get what you want, and that is admirable, even if it isn't a "good" thing.

What if you were told,
you were dying.
Who would you vist?
Where would you go?
What would you do?
-Would you travel?
-Would you tell that person how you felt about them?

--

Well you are dying.
We all are.

trillions of stars
billions of people
a whole world of
possibility     but
still  you and me
always you  and
                        me.

"if you're feeling small today, i dare you to sit up straighter,
look someone who scares you directly in the eye, take up
room at the dinner table, make yourself bigger. when 'sorry'
laps at the back of your tongue, tries to pick up after you, remind
yourself that your existence does not demand an apology.
you are allowed to make a mess and take up space, do not be afraid to expand.
every single gosh darn minute- expand, expand, expand."

PLAIN WHITE T'S LYRICS     "Anything"
[Verse 1]
I see your face
In the frame on my desk
It meant a lot
Now it means a lot less
It's just a place
For the dust in my room to rest
I see the letters
That were written for me
They said you cared
And I totally believed
They didn't mention
That five months later you'd leave

[Chorus]
You could've told me anything [x3]
To make me understand
'cause I don't understand

[Verse 2]
I see the bracelet
You gave me back then
Made it for me
So I'd never forget
It must have worked
'Cause I haven't forgotten you yet
I see the bed
Where we used to mess around
We'd talk for hours
Before you'd go down
That was before
You decided not to keep me around

[Chorus x2]

You could've told me why you had to go
I try to tell myself just let it go
But I see your face, it's everywhere I go

[Chorus x2]

No, I don't understand

and you call me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest
Me in 40 years:
Let me sing you a song, children
*clears throat*
OH OH OH OH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH CAUGHT IN A BAD ROMANCE
I'm broken.
I have no one.
I will.. never have anyone.
He used me for his own pleasures.
He lead me on to think that we...
had a chance. but... we didn't.
I wouldn't even blame him
if he... didn't care that I'm about to die.
That's right.
He doesn't care.
He never will.
And for that I... have died inside.
I'd like to say goodbye.
But to who?
No one.

"Look at that overachiever!"

If you want to know what I hate the most, it's people who shame other people who work harder than them by calling them overachievers. "Overachievers" in reality, are just people with goals who are willing to work hard to accomplish them. People need to stop validating their laziness by calling out on others who actually put in the effort to make a difference in their life. You are literally turning someone's ambition into a bad thing. Do you know how many times I've heard someone mock another kid in my class for being an overachiever because they started studying for a big test a week before it happened, and then complained when that person got a 97 and they failed by a point? Or when someone laughs at another person on their track team for going so hard in the workouts, but then they're completely shocked when that person beats them in a race? Or when the second string player who you and your friends taunted for staying an extra hour on the field after practice because "they like don't even have any talent anyway," replaces you in the first string? How about when that girl who was harassed for going to the gym everyday because "She's never going to be skinny anyway," suddenly has the nicest body in the school? If your goals mean something to do, work you allss off for them no matter what anybody says. Then you can say fullck you to those people who called you an overachiever when you come in first place over them, when you get into their dream school and they don't, when you get so fit they can only dream of having your body, when you get that last spot on varsity over them, when your goal is finally accomplished.
Just always remember, "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."

it is amazing how adults wonder why teenagers are online so much while they continually ignore and dismiss all of their thoughts and feelings.

like geez i wonder why kids these days would turn to the internet, a place where they can interact with others and receive an abundance of the support and attention they lack in their daily lives
