When I look in the mirror, I don't see what others see; I see ugly, not pretty, nothing. I see ^NOTHING special, nothing to look at. I just see the scars and all the imperfections. So many on my face, the fat on my legs and just…nothing.
I put on a mask every day, _{every morning}, that reads “I don’t care what people think of me,” but really, it hurts _{so bad} when someone says that ^{I’m ugly or something}. I believe it too, BUT NEVER when someone says “You’re pretty or beautiful.” I’ll accept the compliment but throw it away as soon as the person walks away or the subject changes.
What I see isn’t what others see, I realize that. But they can’t change what I see until I change it myself…and that, that will take forever…
