Sparkles

chapter two ♥

My eyes fluttered open and I saw two figures in front of me. I screamed and tried to writhe away, but the alley wall was behind me and my whole body was hurting.
“We’re paramedics. No need to worry, hon.” One of them said.
            I screamed again. “Get away!”
Tears started spilling down my face as they gently picked me up and put on a stretcher.

My parents ran into the hospital room, followed by Danny and Jessica.
            “Brooke!” yelled my parents.
Danny came up to me, “I’m so sorry, Brooke. I shouldn’t have left you alone out there. I could never forgive myself for this.”
He was about to place his hand on my cheek but I impulsively swatted it away. He wasn’t the only one in shock.
“Are you… mad at me?” he asked.
“No…” I said, “Sorry about that.”
            I looked around, paranoid.
“Is it safe in here?” I asked, eyeing the doctor in the room with us. Who knows who he could be?
“Yes, Brooke, it’s all right.” My mom said, coming closer to me.
I scooted to the opposite end of the bed, trying to get away from her.
I felt scared. I didn’t trust anyone. My head started to pound and my vision got blurry for a second before I thought I saw specks of shiny things in the air. I blinked and I saw more specks and they disappeared before I was able to process them.
“What are those…?” I asked, pointing to the air, “Did you see them?”
They were gone now. The room was clear again.
            “See what?” asked Jessica.
“The specks of glitter… Or light. Did you see them?”
The doctor began writing something on a notepad. He looked pained and asked my mom and dad to step outside. I could hear something.
            Delusional. Emotionally scarred.
The thing was, they had barely left the room when I heard those things. I knew it wasn’t me, and I was sure it wasn’t Jessica, Danny, Mom, Dad or the doctor. I hadn’t seen their lips moving. Who was it then? I was about to scream but I stopped myself.

Author's note: Yeah. I think I just murdered the story. -.-

Sparkles

chapter one ♥

I burst out laughing as Danny told me the story of how he tricked the lunch lady into giving him a          free lunch. I clutched my sides and almost fell to the floor. A few people around us looked annoyed.
Danny took a sip of his latte, “Yeah, there’s no chance of me ever buying a school lunch again. She’s probably already found out what happened.”
My face was still red from laughing so hard.
Starbucks was starting to clear up and a waitress came up to our booth, “Store’s closing guys.”
I nodded at her, and Danny and me got up and threw our cups in the trash. Pushing open the glass doors, we walked out. I felt his fingers intertwining with mine.
“I love you Brooke.” He said into my ear softly.
“I love you too, Danny.” I said, snuggling close to him as we walked.
He kissed me on the lips, and we held for a second, before he pulled away and said, “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Bye.” I said, watching him go. I walked over to a nearby bench and sat down, waiting for the bus to come. I checked my phone and texted my best friend, Jessica, while I waited. A man who looked about in his 30’s came and sat down on the bench next to me. I awkwardly scooted over a bit, but I still felt uncomfortable. I got up and walked over to another set of benches while I waited for the bus. I continued to text Jessica, when the man sat next to me again.
“You look nice today.” He muttered in my ear.
Help. I texted Jessica, just incase anything happened.
I ignored him and tried to walk into the shop behind me, but it was closed. I looked at the time, it was 10:00 PM, all the stores were probably closed by now. I started walking down the sidewalk, and felt someone walking behind me. I broke out into a cold sweat and started speed walking, and then broke out into a sprint as I felt the person behind me approaching.
“HELP!” I screamed out into the sky.
I felt two thick arms around me pulling me into an alley that was conveniently near by. I tried to text Jessica but he knocked the phone out of my hands. He shoved me to the back of the alley and placed his thick hand over my mouth so that I wouldn’t be able to scream. I felt tears flowing as I struggled to let loose of his grip. Next thing I knew, my clothes were all off and so were his. I kept trying to scream but I couldn’t. The last thing I remember was the man getting up after a while, putting on his clothes and running out of the alley. I just lay there, bruised, emotionally and physically, and I couldn’t move.

Untitled
  sequel to popular
   sorry guys.

I actually won't be writing the sequel to popular. There is really nothing to write about and it was going to be one of those typical love stories and I don't really like writing those. I'm really sorry to disappoint. Basically what was going to happen was that they went to college, drifted apart, reconciliated. Then there was a problem with like money, they didn't have money to like afford college so stuff happens. And then Lucy wanted Carson for herself and that creates drama and a certain character commited suicide... But yeah. I didn't really want to write it in the first place. :( Sorry! But I'll be posting a new story up soon. Please forgive me<3

   PROLOGUE

            “One… Two… Three!”
I ripped open the letter and devoured the contents.
“YES!!!” I threw the papers up in the air and hugged my two best friends, Carson and Lucy.
“Your turn.” I said to Lucy.
I couldn’t believe that we were already going to college. Here we were, this fine April, sitting in my room and opening our college results.
“Aww… I didn’t make it.” Said Lucy, throwing her application to Harvard on the floor.
“It’s not like you were gonna go anyways.” Laughed Carson.
Lucy smiled, “True!” as she began opening her second envelope, from Emerson.
She scanned the page and broke out into a huge grin, “I got in!”
            “Woot!” Carson and I cheered.
“I can’t believe we’re already going to college.” I said, frowning a bit.
            “I know.” Said Lucy.
“Don’t worry guys, we’ll always keep in touch.” Said Carson.
            I smiled, “Totally.”
“Promise to keep in touch?” she said, extending her palm. For a minute, Carson and I were confused, but then we realized what she was doing. It was our handshake from seventh grade. Carson and I both extended our palms too and we did the handshake. Even after all those years, we still remembered how to do it.
“I love you guys.” I said, sighing, “I never wanna lose you.”
But hey, not everyone’s wishes come true, right?

“Hey Lucy.” I said, walking downstairs where she was watching something on TV. I plopped down next to her, “You have a bit of explaining to do.”

She looked at me, her eyes bulging, “About?!”
“Why’d you lie? About having… Um… Yeah. With Adam?”
She spoke softly, “Did Carson tell you?”
            “Yes, he did.” I chuckled.
She sighed, turning off the TV and looking at me.
“Because I didn’t want to ruin things between you guys. I made a mistake, right after we did it—“
“Wait, can you slow down a bit? Ruin things between us?”
Lucy rolled her eyes, “Because ever since like 7th grade I could tell that you guys liked each other. I’m best friends with both of you, and I’m not a moron. And the night we did it was a total accident. We weren’t expecting it, and as soon as we were done I left without saying a word. We didn’t talk for a week after that.” She explained, her eyes glassed over.
I engulfed her in a hug, “Lucy. I’m not mad at you. It’s not like me and Carson were dating at the time.”
“Are you… dating now?” she asked, inquisitively.
I sighed, “No. You know how I feel about long distance relationships. And I know if you really love someone, you can have a long distance relationship and nothing would change, but… I can’t do it. But we’ll see. If we’re meant to be, we’ll be together some day.”
“But we’ll always be friends right?”
            “Always.” I smiled.

The End.

**Should I do a sequel? I just wanted to end the story this way. The sequel would be about them after college and stuff and IDK DUDE. LIKE ONLY IF YOU WANT A SEQUEL. If I get more than like 7 people asking for a sequel I'll write one, but if not, I'll write a new story and then do a sequel later. OK HAVE A NICE DAY :DDD

If I chose to support Daisy and Carson, I’d lose all my friends. Heidi would make sure of it. If I chose Heidi, well – I wouldn’t have any friends that liked me for me.

It felt like they were all staring at me for years. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and walked over and stood next to Heidi.
I crossed my arms and said, “Don’t be such a baby, Carson.” I smirked, turned on my heel and strode out the door. Heidi and the others followed and Tracy yelled some choice words back at Carson and Lucy. As soon as I had set foot outside, I began to regret it. But there was no turning back now.
I walked up to the van parked in my driveway and opened the passenger door, and I saw a couple of guys in the back, and Jackson as the driver. He was grinning, and I sat down next to him and kissed him.
            “Hey.” I muttered.
“You’re lookin’ fine, baby.” He said
            “Thanks.” I smirked.
Madison got out a cooler from the back of the van and set it down in the middle of the car.
            “Drinks anyone?” she asked.
Everyone took a beer, including Jackson, and myself. We began drinking and laughing and talking the whole car ride downtown. But the guilt was still there, ready to burst out any minute. I tried ignoring it, but it was impossible.
After an hour of just driving around town, I could hear noises in the back. Very disgusting noises.
“Yeah, Melanie, get some.” Slurred Madison.
I felt Jackson’s hand creep up on my thigh. We were swerving around on the high way and he tried to say something but it was too late. Because all I heard was screaming and the next thing I knew, the van flipped over. All I remember is being crushed under the seat and not being able to move – and of course, blood.
