Whenever people would ask me

"Why do you want to die?"

I'd usually reply,

"Nobody needs me."

Today,

A good friend of mine texted me saying he wanted to kill himself.

I'm currently talking him out of it.

Somebody needs me.

Chapter 20

Hazel's POV

*4 Months Later*

We moved! All four of us in Alaska.

We live in a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom, house in a small city.

I have a job at a bakery. Jessie is still modeling. Josh is a trainer at a gym. Jake is a nature photographer, for a magazine.

One day, at work, the three of them come in and order cinnamon rolls. We make the best cinnamon rolls ever here.

They stay there for about 45 minutes, until I get off work.

"Hey, guys." I say, sitting down at their table.

"Hello, beautiful." Jake says, and kisses me.

I just smile.

"Let's go home." I say, standing up.

They all stand up, and we walk out the door.

Once we get home, Josh has to go to work.

"Bye, Josh!" Jessie yells out the door.

Josh and I haven't done anything since that one day. Nothing is weird between us anymore.

It's only 3 in the afternoon, but it's a cloudy day, so it's kind of dark.

I'm tired from work.

"I'm gonna go take a nap." I say, and get up off the couch.

Jake follows me into our room and I lay in my bed.

"You don't have to come in here with me." I say.

"I want to." He smiles, then lays next to me.

After a couple minutes, my eyes close.

I'm almost asleep, when Jake whispers to me.

"Hazel?" He asks.

"What?" I whine, re-opening my eyes.

"You're cute when you're trying to sleep." He smiles.

"That's what you had to say?" I turn away from him.

"No," He laughs, "I think I'm going to go take some photos."

I nod, then close my eyes again.

He kisses my forehead, then leaves.

I can't get back to sleep. So, I walk out to the living room.

"I'm about to go meet up with one of the models I work with. Wanna come?" Jess asks.

I shake my head no, then flop down on the couch.

Then Jesse leaves.

So, I try to sleep.

Authors Note

So, sorry I haven't wrote since.. Whenever I wrote last. I've been sick, and I still had to go to school. So then when I came home I would go to sleep. Then I'd be up 'till like 2 or 3. Then last night, I crashed (without doing homework) at like 9. Then I woke up at 1, did my homework, then went back to bed at 3:/ Also, I'm falling back into my depression.. so that's hard to.. sort out.. & then my friend I usually sit with at lunch everyday, totally ditched me for people who don't like me. and she is "just gonna sit with them everyday now." *sigh* one last thing- i picked out 2 books from the library. you know. they just seemed interesting. then I found out in both books somebody killed themselves. I feel as if it's.. a sign. BACK TO THE STORY!!

there will be at least 1 chapter posted tonight.

Chapter 19

Jake's POV

Hazel instantly accepts Renae back into our house. She's sitting on the floor, just holding the baby.

"Hazel.." I say, "Is this legal?"

Her head snaps up, looking at me.

"Why would you ask that? I am her mother." She says.

"I know that. But didn't we decide we couldn't take care of her?" I shoot back.

"Yeah," She says, "We need to bring her to adoption center or something."

Then Renae starts crying.

"What's wrong, baby?" Hazel says.

"Let's go now." I say.

Hazel shoots me a look then puts the baby back into her carrier.

I pick the carrier up and we start walking to the car.

A couple hours later we're on the drive home, and Hazel is crying.

"I just didn't want you to get attatched to her, again. Then you'd be even more hurt." I say.

She nods, then puts her face into her hands.

A couple minutes later I pull into our driveway.

I get out of the car and Hazel is still sitting in the passenger seat, crying.

I go over and open the door.

"Hazel," I say, "Come here."

She stretched out her arms and I pick her up, out of the car.

"Hey, neighbors!" Brian says from across the street.

Hazel waves then walks inside.

I just flip him off.

When I walk inside Hazel is sitting on the couch.

I go and sit by her and drape my arm around her shoulder.

"Let's hang out with Jess." Hazel says, softly.

"Josh, too?" I wonder.

"If you want." She sighs.

I call Josh and ask him if they want to come over. He says yeah, then 20 minutes later, they're here.

"Hey, guys." Hazel says, and stands up.

She hugs Josh for just a second, then hugs Jessie, and holds onto her for a long time.

Josh and I do the side ways high five thing.

We all sit down, Hazel and I on the couch, Jessie and Josh on a chair.

"We should move somewhere snowy." Hazel says.

"Snowy?" I say at the same time as Jess says, "Who's we?"

"The four of us. A snowy place. It's a change." She smiles at me.

"I'm all for it. But we still don't have jobs. Or money." I say, and kiss her head.

"I have a job," Jessie says, "And if you both sold your houses we could all move in together in like. Alaska or something."

"Yeah!" Hazel says, excited.

"Josh?" Jessie says.

"Yeah, we could do that." Josh says.

Sorry I haven't wrote in a couple days. Been.. distracted.. I really. Really. Really. miss my "him." he isn't even in my life anymore. it's so. sad. *sigh*
