So, there's a lot of awesome authors here on Witty Profiles. I started Witty really only liking two authors: Laughitupp and xx_Cat_xx. I really liked the story "Love <3" by Laughitupp, and "When I Met You" by xx_Cat_xx. Those two stories have since finished, and Laughitupp is now Nothingwithoutyou_x, but the stories are still alive to me. Without them, I wouldn't have ever written anything here. Anyways, since I started those two stories, the amount of people on witty whose stories I read has grown a lot. I have a whole list that I go through every time I want to read on Witty. I should probably get started listing those before I'm too old (;

Broken: Chapter Twenty One
Colton's Pov:
“Is – is
Drew here?” he asked.
I nodded and let him walk by me. I gestured towards the door he should use, and he shouldered by me.
“Drew,” he said, smiling.
“Bryan!” she cried.
I walked into the room with my hands in my pockets and watched Bryan kiss Drew. She let go after a moment, smiled at him, and then remembered me.
“Oh, Bryan, this is Colton!” she said, pointing at me. “He’s my best friend!” She smiled.
Bryan didn’t.
“Hi, Colton,” said Bryan, holding out his hand to me. “I’m Bryan. Bryan Manning.”
I looked at his hand, raising an eyebrow.
“You’re, uh ... You’re supposed to shake it,” he said.
“Oh, my bad,” I said, and reluctantly shook Bryan’s hand. “I, uh, gotta go, Drew,” I said.
“Bye, Colton,” she said.
I left before they started a “Whose cuter?” fight. Wouldn’t wanna interrupt that…

“Hey, Rory,” I said when she answered her door.
“Colton!” she cried, throwing her arms around my neck. “I missed you so much!”
“We saw each other like a day ago,” I chuckled.
“A day longer than I’d like to have away from you,” she giggled.
“That’s sweet,” I said, smiling.
She looked at me for a long time, before saying, “Wanna come inside?”
“Sure!” I said.
Damn, her place was nice! It was huge, and it had really nice furniture. I swear, this would be an awesomeplace to play hide-and-seek. When I told her that, she giggled. She had a cute laugh. I liked it. I told her that, too.

“I wanna meet your friends, Colton.”
I turned towards Rory. We were sitting on the couch, watching TV, and she had just broken a long silence. “My … friends?”
“Just the close ones,” she said, smiling, “I know you probably have a couple hundred.”
I shook my head.
“Why can’t I meet them?”
“You can meet them,” I said quietly.
“I get to meet your friends!” she squealed.
“Friend,” I said quietly.
There was a long silence, before she quietly said, “Oh.”

ice cream to Drew’s house and knocked on the
door. She didn’t answer after five seconds, so
I just walked in.
“Honey, I’m home,” I laughed.
“On the couch!” she called.
I sat beside her on the couch and opened the ice cream. I went to her kitchen and found the bowls easily. I got the ice cream scooper from a cabinet, and some whipped cream, hot fudge, and cherries from the fridge.
“Mmm!” she said as she ate her ice cream.
“I know, right,” I said, eating mine as well.
“This is the life,” she said.
“Hold on tight!” I sang.
She looked at me and snorted. “You’re a freak.”
“Sing with me!” I said, standing up. “This is the dream!”
“It’s all I need!” she sang.
“You never know where you’ll find it!” we sang together.
“Da da da, I don’t know the words!” I sang.
“I’m still getting it right,” she laughed. “This is the life…”
She fell back onto the couch and I smiled at her. She was so perfect, and beautiful, and amazing. I just wanted to hold her in my arms forever. But I had Rory. Rory made me smile. I liked Rory, right? No … I mean, I liked Rory, but Drew… Drew was the one I loved.
“Colton, are you ok?” asked Drew.
I snapped out of my daydream. “Y-yeah,” I said, smiling. “I’m cool.”
“Good,” she giggled and hugged me.
That’s when the doorbell rang.
“Lemme get that,” I said.
“No, I –”
“You’re injured,” I insisted.
I opened up the door and saw a guy standing there. He wasn’t as tall as me, but he was pretty tall. He had curly blonde hair and blue eyes. I didn’t know what to say. I just looked at him and he looked at me.

Bryan,” I said. We were standing outside my
door and he was looking down on me. He was literally
like two feet taller than me, but I thought it was
kind of cute. We exchanged numbers and he started to
leave.
“Wait,” he said, turning around.
“Wha –”
He grabbed my face in his hands and kissed me. I kissed back, just for a moment, and then he let go. I looked at him and smiled at little.
“Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page,” he said.
I nodded, unable to form words.
“Bye, Drew,” he said and hopped into his car.
I watched him drive away, smiling stupidly. “Bryan,” I breathed, and headed inside my house.

“I’m coming over,” he said. I could hear his car door open as he got inside.
I rolled my eyes. “It’s fine, Col –”
“You almost died,” he said, “so I need to come over there. I’m bringing ice cream. Just be happy.”
