Think of this, say you're drowning and someone pulls you up, and you can finally breathe again. That's what it feels like to cut, all the emotions built up inside of you are let out and released that way. You get this numb feeling where you forgot all your troubles for a little while. I would know.. and basically when you're so used to being let down and feeling like it's hard to believe anything anymore.
Also, you want help, but no one can save you, the only person that can truely save you is yourself.
Also, when you self-harm, it's not always that yu want to die, you just don't want to feel pain anymore, so you replace your mental pain, with physical.
Not Really I just tried hard not to but i saw this idea on a website and it says " Ever time you feel the urge to self-harm, get a pen and draw lines on you, they don't have to be straight " I think it's worth a try :p
