                                                         *J.T's POV*

                I felt bad that Rene got in trouble on the first day of school, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that by those girls.  Poor Rene. 

I was worried about how my family would react to her. I tried not to show how worried I was but I couldn't help it. My mom can be really critical and she sometimes has a big mouth but she wouldn't say anything bad...Right?


                                                         *Rene's POV*

I could tell J.T was worried but I didn't know what he was worried about. Maybe it was the girls who gave him their phone number. I couldn't tell. It was a while until he said something about his mom but I couldn't hear, so we just walking in slience the rest of the way. "Is anything wrong" I asked. "Oh, nothing. Hey how about we play the silent game?". He answered. I was hurt but didn't show it. I was good at that. "Okay.."


                This chapter is dedicated to Irene, Have a good first day of school!

We both  ran into the class room at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed. More people gave us harsh  looks. I was getting used to it but I still didn't care what people thought. "We better go find seats." J.T said, he was still panting. "Yup." I replied.   We found 2 seats in the back and sat down as soon as the bell rung. After 1 minute, a tall blonde haired woman walked in. She was beautiful. All the boys cheered for her accepted for J.T. Gosh he was a gentleman. She wore a long, black skirt that wrapped around her hips, and a blouse that was a little too tight..."Hello class, my name is Mrs-" The teacher was interruped by the sound of a cell-phone ringing, my cell-phone ringing. It was one of the popular girls (who hated me) calling my cell-phone. They were all giggling quietly. The teacher was glaring at me. I knew I was in trouble, big trouble. The teacher walked over to me and took my phone. She looked at me and said "You'll get this back at the end of the week." My face turned red. I hid my face and said "O.K". Class went on and on until the bell rung. "I'm so embarrassed". I whispered to J.T. "Don't worry." He whispered back. I felt better. But that mood went away when the popular girls walked over. They blew me off and walked right in front of J.T. "Hi cutie." One of them said. It was the girl who called me in class. J.T just looked at me. "Hi?" He didn't know what they were going to do. "Here's my number" She said and handed him a piece of paper. She and her "group" walked away talking about how "yummy" he was. "A-a-are you going to call her." I asked. He just laughed and said "Of course not!" I smiled. "Come on, let's go!" He said. "Where?" I asked. "I want you to meet my family" He replied. "O.K..." I was worried. What were they going to think of me?

                                                                      Chapter 8

We spent 10 minutes in the rain, holding each other until it got unbearably cold. Our clothes was almost soaked, we knew we were going to get in trouble and we weren't looking forward to it. He carried me in his arms all the way to school. We entered the doors and realized we had 10 more minutes to spare. I could feel everyone looking at us holding hands. "People are staring at us..." I whispered. "Ok, they may be staring at us for 2 reasons...first reason: We're holding hands. Second reason: Our clothes is soaking wet!" he replied. I laughed. People started to whisper things like "He's with her? Gross!" or "looks like the skeleton found loved!", or "He's too cute to be with her..". I pretended not to hear. I didn't care. They were just jealous that they dont have the nicest boy ever. "So, we have 10 more minutes to spare..." J.T's voice trailed off. "Oh my gosh, let's play hide and seek!" I yelled excitedly. "Haha, ok!" he agreed. And so for the next 10 minutes we played hide and seek. It was great. But then the bell rung and I came out of my hiding spot. "Race you to class!" He said in a 4 years voice. "O.K! Last ones a rotten egg!" I said back adn we both laughed and ran to class. People stared but we were both too focused on winning.

                                                                                                     Chapter 7

J.T left a tip for the busboy and we left. "How much time do we have left?" he asked. "Let me check, hmmm... About 45 minutes, why?" I responded "As I said earlier, you'll see!" he exclaimed. "Can you show me now?? Pleasee?!" I begged. "Haha, fine! Follow me!" He grabbed my hand and I felt sparks when we touched. I wonder what he felt.. We ended up on a small hill with a tall, beautiful oak tree. Hey...One tree hill! "Wow, it's beautiful up here, and we can stay up here for 39 minutes!" I said. "I know. I discovered this place three days after me and my family, I loved it." He said smiling. "Hey, I see this all the time in the movies, let's lay on the grass and look and point at the clouds!" I yelled excitedly. "Haha, ok.." We lay down on the grass and look at the semi-cloudy sky. "Hey look at that cloud, it looks like a heart." J.T said pointing at the cloud that I was looking at. "Wow, um Hey, could I ask you something" I said openly. "Sure, ask away!" He responded. "So, um we just met and...well, we're having a good time..so.." I stopped and he said "Rene, I would love to go out with you." I looked at him and he looked at me. I moved in closer and he put his arm around my frail body. It started to rain but we didn't care..we were with each other.

J.T smiled and I smiled back. He helped me up and said "Come on, let's go out to lunch." "Umm, where should we go?" I asked. He perked up and said "A buffet!" "Um, I won't eat much but-" He cut me off and said "It's a buffet, you're supposed to eat a lot!" He was getting more excited by the minute "O.K, I'll try." I couldn't help but laughing because of how excited he was getting! "How much time do we have until lunch break is over?" He asked. "Umm, about an hour, why?" I questioned. "You'll see.." He said grabbing my hand. We rushed out the door and walked to the All you can eat buffet down the street. We opened the doors to an air-conditioned restaurant. He grabbed us both trays. "What should I get?" I asked. I know, I seemed like a little baby who didn't know what she was doing but I don't know much about this stuff. "Well, what ever you want. It's all you can eat! If you don't like something, you can just get something else!" He answered. I've never had a boy treat me this kind. It's all new to me. J.T got macaroni and cheese, a biscuit, and a slice of pizza. You'd think he would be full after lunch at school. I decided to take his advice and eat all I want. I got macaroni and cheese, a little bit of salad, a muffin, soup, and sprite. It was delicious. We talked all about how it was like moving to a new school and how good the food was. He was proud of me for eating a lot. He said he still had a surprise for me. This is the best day...ever.

It was finally lunch and I was smiling like crazy. We met up in the hall. "How was class?" J.T said panting. I could tell he had been running through the crowd of people. "Great" I said panting a little bit too. 

"Cool, want to go eat now?"  
"Sure"

I was tense about eating with him. What if he mentions me not getting anything? Will I have to tell him about my eating disorder? I was lost in thought until I ran into a locker. "owwww" I yelled holding my head. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" J.T said looking at my forehead. "Yeah, I'll be fine. Come on, let's go to lunch". We enter the cafeteria. It was loud. All the groups were sitting at there own tables. We chose a table near the back. It was the only empty table but it was near the mean, popular girls who hate me. That made me more tense. We went to go see the options of the choices of food. I chose yogurt and a water, J.T chose a sandwich, a soda, an apple, and some yogurt. We sat down and J.T attacked his food and I ate my yogurt slowly. I noticed we needed napkins and I stood up. One of the popular girls stood up too and poured her food all over me. "Opps!" she said smiling evilly. "Why I could just-" I looked over at J.T and his mouth was wide open.So was everyone else's. The tray spilled all over me. I was humiliated. So I ran. Tears were in my eyes. I ran into the library and hide in the back. I was crying softly. Then J.T came in. I wiped my eyes with my sleeve and smiled weakly. "H-hi" I said. My voice was shaky. "I'm so sorry what they did to you." "It's fine, I'm used to it. They bullied me since the first year of high school.." I mumbled looking down at my shoes. "Why would they do that?" he said kneeling down to look at my face. "Ok, here it goes..I have an eating disorder and the girls think it's funny...well yeah.." J.T was in shock, "um, why, why do you have an eating disorder?" I told him about Barry and everything else.  J.T grabbed my hand. There were tears in his eyes but he was holding them back. "Listen, don't let anyone change you, promise?" He said extending his hand for me to shake it. "I Promise"
