It's just so easy to not
think.
It's easy to ignore the voice
in your head that's screaming out, trying to get you to do
the right thing.
It's easy to decide to run away from your
problems.
It's not easy to
think.
Thinking leads to confusion.
It makes you question yourself, your morals and life in
general.
But just because It's
easy doesn't mean it's right.
It's easy to ignore the
feelings of people around you.
It's easy to gossip.
It's easy to go around doing whatever you want just because
it "feels good."
It's hard to
think.
Listening to the voice in your head
is hard.
Deciding to make the right choice even though it might hurt
is very hard.
Doing something not because you want to, but because you know
it's what you need to do
really is incredibly hard.
Everyone knows
that.
But even though they do, they still encourage doing the
right thing.
“In the end you should always do the right thing even if
it's hard.”
― Nicholas Sparks, The
Last Song
“Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a
choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what
happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he
strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric
Diggory.”
― J.K. Rowling, Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire
“If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not
say it.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
No one says
that doing the right thing and thinking is easy.
But they still
do it because
thinking and doing right, is the right thing to
do.
