i completely 100% second that you should unfollow a lot of people on here and on tumblr. this website can be super negative and even if you think it's helping you to find people you relate to, it's probably only making things worse.
also, don't list the things that are "wrong" with you/things you've been through as reasons for not getting better. those things have happened and are there; don't use them as shields.

any kind of survey taking in peoples sexuality would be based on the incorrect idea that people always tell the truth and also that people are fully aware and accepting of what sexuality they are and who they are attracted to, so idk i think any and all percentages given would be off by a long shot? also the percentages of people who've felt attraction to the same gender are way higher than the percentage of the same people who identify as lesbian/gay/bisexual so? and that could also possible attribute itself to the fact that we are, as you said, programmed to assume that everyone should fit into the very flawed concept of a societal norm.
