Chapter
two
The Red
Door
The door
bright red, like staring into the sun. A flash of light shot out
of the crack in the door. It was bright blue and kept flashing
like the porch light! I started to walk towards the door and the
light but once I layed my hand on the door to push it open the
light shut off. I hear pattering, like a rat running in tap shoes
after a piece of cheese on a wooden floor. I grab my flashlight
push open the door and flashed it to the left and then the right.
But when I turned to the right something screamed a really high
pitched ear piercing scream. The door quickly slammed shut on my
face and flew me out of the room. I lost my balance and fell down
the stairs. The last thing I remember was landing at the bottom
of the stairs and then I saw black. I awoke in a really dusty bed
and first thing I saw was the window. The window that the thing
was staring at me through. I jumped up out of the bed and ran for
the door. The door handle is gone! I kicked and screamed at the
door, thinking its old I can knock it down. But I look and there
is brand new brackets and hinges. Suddenly a deep teenage male
voice came from the other side of the
room.
“ I
wouldn’t do that if I were you.” He
said.
I spun around
quicker than the speed of light and whacked my head on the
door. I screamed, “ Who are you? Why are you here? What do
you want?”
He replied
with a simple,
“
Shh, quite down, and quit kicking the
door.”
He was the
one at the window waving to me.
“
why were you waving to me in the
window?”
“I
wasn’t I was trying to warn you to stay away but it grabbed
me and knocked me out. I awoke as it brought you in
here.”
“what
is this house? What is
“”IT”?”
“ I
don’t know.”
I asked him
his name, I got a Steven. He was about fifteen, dirty blonde
hair, covered in soot. He would be a perfect boyfriend but
sad we met like this. So I sat down against the wall across from
him. We talked till we saw the blue light flicker on and off in
the hallway.
