My world is never silent. Welcome.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena.
On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. Thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every saint and sinner in the history of our species; think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light, and underscores our responsibility to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot.

Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing;
Only a signal shown and a distant voice in the darkness,
So on the Ocean of Life we pass and speak one another,
Only a look and a voice, then darkness again and silence.

                                 Maybe I'd never fully understand what pulled two people together.
Maybe it was like trying to comprehend the Universe.. You just couldn't measure any of it.
                                    It just was. And you made your way through it as best you could.

"I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something."
-Samwise Gamgee, TT-LOTR.
