IKR. And they made her look as if she was older too, but she doesn't even need the editing she's gorgeous. It's the natural Jennifer Lawrence that should be on magazine covers, not that ^^ an untouched image of her is admirable as well, her whole body is
The point of the YouTube video, from what I understood, was to prove that girls are capable of being feminine and strong at the same time, and shouldn't be victimised nor insulted based on stereotypes. :P when people say 'you hit like a girl' it portrays the person as someone who is, basically, shît at the sport they're doing. As we grow older into teenage years, the video showed how the image of girls in sport began to look as if we were all just dumb little bimbos ??
Idk. I guess 'like a girl' became an insult as boys teased girls based on their sporting capabilities.
I know I've felt like this several times, definitely, but the thing is that we kind of make ourselves believe no one really cares, or never notice the little things that prove they do. Or maybe they don't care. If they don't, then they're simply not good friends, or good people. They might just take your presence for granted, and never truly appreciate you being there. In my group of friends when the person I least like and am least closest to is away, it still feels like something's gone, and missing. Even if you feel like it wouldn't make a difference if you weren't there, even if you don't talk during conversations or laugh as loud as they do and come off as invisible, it would still make a difference if you weren't there. & there's always someone who cares. Please don't ever doubt that <3
OMG. Why is this not more popular?! More people should know about this. Good on you for telling someone at least, & putting and end to it. Boys like that disgust me, & I hope I never have to come across someone like that in my life. Woman are people too, not men's objects. This is why we need feminism
I just wanted to let other people know to be careful who they trust. I gave him all of mine, and he had a special place in my heart for about three years. Only now, I don't know if he went through with suicide, or if he posted the pics somewhere on the internet. All I know is how much it hurt, and I don't want anyone else to ever feel that way. Im sure girls have done this to guys before, too.
