Chapter 1: Zuri
May 2, 1810
My heart was in my ears, my hands and knees caked with blood and mud and I was racing from pitch black forests, to thick forests, and river banks, to the same place over and over again. My vision is a red haze, the walls the color of razen and the floor a pear white that glowed. There were no doors or windows. I circle in desporation for an exit but come up with nothing. Suddenly, I see two red-blood-shot-eyes and the owner's voice, "Well, well Zuri. Running away from something you know you can't, well ... your kind disgust my peolpe. Now to my victory, you will be punished, again ... and again ... and again. From the next generation to the next, even your childeren will be punished." I gave out a cry to the thought but it was swollowed away after the eye dissapeared and a sharp pain plunges into my upper back, into my hear. I only have a few seconds till I fall into a deep sleep. Two eyes the color of hazel appear in front of me. My last breath came with a name, "Avery ..."

I don't think I'm going to post anymore chapters bacause ... you know if I gave you too much information you won't want the book if it gets published. <3 you all!!!!
