Day 18: A Song for the Summer:

With Summer coming to an end two songs come to mind for me. First is The Beach by All Time Low as it's impossible to listen to this song without picturing youself having fun in the sun at the beach. The other one is When The Day Met the Night by Panic! at the Disco this song literally yells, "Summer" for a good part of it. Plus, the story of the moon and the sun being much like a Summer fling.

Day 17: A Song with great lyrics:

This is a very difficult one for me to answer as I'm such a lyrical person like that's what makes a song for me. Then, I kinda let the days fall under the radar, whoops. So here's a couple to make up for my absence. First up is Vegas by All Time Low Every other word is a work of art, Another has to be Holding on to You by twenty one pilots they coud've just had the bridge repeating throughout the whole song and I would be a-ok with it. Next, Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? by Fall Out Boy the opening verse is just so clever and this song has a very powerful message.

Day 16: A Song that's better acoustic:

For the most part I tend to like both versions equally, but I prefer the acoustic verison of Hooligans by Issues as it shows the stripped back side of band. Which is always refreshing to see. Plus, I heard the acoustic one first so the studio one feels like it's sped up.

Day 14: A Song that's better as a cover:

It's gotta be  Mayday Parade's cover of When I Grow Up (originally by the Pussycat Dolls) off Punk Goes Pop 2. For one the vocals sound better and its cool to have actual instruments in the background. Plus, the bridge gets me everytime. I think I may like Mayday Parade's covers more than their own material?

Day 14: A Song with a great music video:

Excuse me, I'm abou to go full emo. Without a doubt, My Chemical Romance's I'm Not Okay (I Promise) video. I just love how it's the 80s teen movie every emo deserved. Like the scene where Gerard's just standing on the diving board while everyone else is swimming or when Frank scares a girl by jumping out of a locker #toorelatable. Also, the scene where they're playing croquet gives me major Heathers vibes, which is never a bad thing. This video also responsible for getting me more into MCR. Everytime I see it in my recommened videos I can't help but click on it. A great video for a great song.

Day 13: A Song from a musical:

Honestly, I'm not the biggest musical fanatic as I mostly leave that to my friend, Clare. However, I remember being in my 6th grade music class and learning the song For Good from Wicked and really loving it. the somber, yet hopefully feeling it woul give off. Truly encaputlates the dynamic of the two main charaters Elpha and Glinda.

 What i MISS: a list

Long drives. 2am bus rides. Sneaking out. Concerts on a Sunday night. Empty beer bottles. Drunk calls. Texting til I fall asleep. Sharing chocolates & cigarettes. Smoking at the fire exit. Walks at the Acad Oval. Picking flowers, chasing dragonflies. Running in the meadows til we run out of breath. Watching the stars. Midnight take outs. Diet & workout plans. NEVER ACTUALLY DOING THEM. Exchanging baby videos on YouTube. Selfies in the library. Sending notes. Drawings on my skin. Making playlists. Holding hands, forehead kisses, lift hugs. Being reminded to bring my umbrella when it's raining. Slipping origami hearts in your sweater pockets. You tucking my hair behind my ears. The citronella scent of the top of your head. The perfect fit of my head on your shoulders. Your warm palms on my cheeks. Touching your eyelashes, watching you blink. Kisses on your collarbone. Your breath on my neck. Shivers down my spine. Asking for more. The trace you leave on my fingers. Waking up in your arms. Lazy Sunday mornings. Arguing over pasta or pizza. Petty fights. Big fights. Tear stains on your shirt. Apologies. ACCEPTING apologies. Learning what is worth fighting for. Raising the white flag in surrender. YOU, most of all.

Day 12: A Song that grew on you:

Honestly, the first time my friend showed me Love Like Woe by The Ready Set I was not a fan. In fact, I had to pause it halfway through the songas it was just annoying. It took a couple of listens for me to come around and then I checked out other song by him.
