I really like your story so far, and the first part of the plot is really good (: Just some things I wanna say though:
During the first chapter, the main person in the story is obviously quite famous, but you didn't make it clear who this person is exactly - but that could be part of your plot though to make it all a mystery of who this person is, which is actually really clever (:
Also, in the second chapter when she starts cutting, I think you could have just said a little bit of why she's doing it, like not full out details, but just a little explanation. Again, you might want this as a complete mystery as you go through the story :)
But yeah, it seems like you've thought this out quite well and it's really original from setting it around new years eve :) Good luck on writing! :D
