Don't Forget
prologue, Hailee's POV.
I sat up in an uncomfortably stiff bed and immediately felt a sharp pain in my head. I laid back and surveyed the room from my bed and saw a man that looked like he was in his mid 40’s sleeping in a chair in the corner. I stared at him until he finally started to shift around in the chair. His eyes fluttered open and he looked happy, confused, and excited all at once. “My baby girl!” He ran over to my bed and gripped my face into his hands and kissed my forehead. “I’m sorry, do I know you?” I slid from his grip, feeling a bit uncomfortable. He gave me a shocked look and backed away from me like I was supposed to know who he was. He shook his head and walked out of the room, leaving me there, confused. Minutes later he came back with a doctor, they started talking and he mentioned amnesia. The doctor told him that it was amnesia and that I won’t be able to remember anything. "Not even her own father?" I was shocked. Their conversation was interrupted by some guy rushing into the room. "Hailee, yo-you're awake!" He scooped my into his arms. "God, we missed you so much." My 'father' stared at us with pain in his eyes. "Charden, she can't remember any of us."
