Chapter 1,part1

Alexis’s POV
 
My alarm went off; of course it was a Justin Bieber song on the radio. I slammed the snooze button. I didn’t want to get up, but I had to. I got up and looked in the mirror. Brown hair, green eyes (Selena Gomez); same face as always. My best friend Bella says I’m beautiful, but I always beg to differ. I hate the way I look. I attempted to brush my hair out but of course it knotted up a bit from being curly the say before. I decided to jump in the shower. I got out and got dressed. I went downstairs, grabbed an apple and went to wake my sister up.

Alexis-Sammy, wake up sweetie.
Sammy-No, I don’t wanna.
Alexis-I didn’t want to either, but I did.
Sammy-FINE! *gets up and gets dressed with Alexis’ help)
 
Alexis POV-
We got out the door and I dropped Sammy at school, she’s in 1^st grade. I call my friend Bella and we decided to meet for yoga. I went home, changed and drove to her house.
 
Bella-Hey girl
Alexis-Hey, can we start now. Sorry to rush. Just have a lot on my mind.
Bella-Your parents?
Alexis-Yeah…*a few tears fall*
Bella-Its okay to still feel upset over it hun.
Alexis-I know, I know. But I still hear Sammy every night call out for them and I just, I don’t know what to do.
 
(POV CONTINUED)
At that point, I broke down crying. It was over a year since my parents died in a car crash. The doctors even said that it was a miracle that I and my sister are alive. Every night though, I hear her crying because they aren’t to say goodnight. It kills me and I cry too. Hearing her be upset…it just messes with me. By the time me and Bella finished talking and yoga, it was time to pick Sammy up from school. I packed my stuff up and drove to her school. She jumped into the car. “Lexi gues what?” she said so fast I hardly understood her. “Calm down sweetie. Breath, now tell me..what?”. She then started to laugh and talk, “I entered us in a contest. It’s a trip to the Caribbean. I thought maybe me and you could go, get our mind off mommy and daddy.” I saw her choke on her words as she said that last part. Get out minds off mom and dad, impossible. “Hun, you know we don’t have the money to do much with the accident.” “I know Lexi, but please?! They are announcing the winner tomorrow morning…please?” Ugh, I agreed. “Fine. But you have to finish all your homework in order to go. That’s also if we win. A lot of people enter these contests.”
 
The rest of the ride home was spent with Sammy singing how we’re going to the Caribbean. I hope she doesn’t get too excited.
 
Alexis’ POV-
After we got home, I sent Sammy upstairs to do her homework. A few hours later, she came down saying that she finished her homework so I heated up some Mac-and-cheese for us to eat for dinner.  After dinner I decided to just head to bed. Sammy changed into her P J’s and so did I. I put her to bed, and then laid in mine…tears started to run down my face. It wasn’t like sobbing tears, just little tears here and there. I couldn’t help thinking of what Sammy said earlier, “This could get our minds off mommy and daddy”. No matter what I did I couldn’t help think of them. It was like when they died, I lost a part of me. With mom gone, I’ve become the guardian of both of us. I finished school early so I would be able to take care of my little sister, but she doesn’t understand. All she knows it that mom and dad are gone and I’m in charge. I became the mother for both of us, and its defiantly not as easy as it sounds. About two hours after all this thinking I fell asleep, having the same nightmare as always, the car crash.
 
(IN HER DREAM)
Dad-Honey, we can’t do this anymore.
Mom-But its for Alexis. She would love it.
Dad-I told you we can’t!
Alexis- *looking out the window crying* Please daddy, I love it though.
Dad-*turns around* I said-
(CRAAAASSSHHHH)
*ND OF DREAM*
 
I woke up, crying like always. I walked downstairs, tip toeing past Sammy’s room trying not to wake her. I got to the fridge, had a glass of water and fell back to sleep on the couch.

I work at a day care and one day while the kids were playing around, a girl hit a boy 
He lifted his hand to go hit her and as the others laughed and cheered,
one boy stopped him and said,
"Boys never hit girls, even if she hit him first."

Little boys that already know how to respect females GMH.

I took the 4 year old girl I was babysitting to the park. She wanted to swing, but there wasn't room so we went to do something else. A 7 year old boy got off the swing, walked over, and said
"Honey, did you want to swing?"  
All the kids moved over to make room for her.

TODAY SUCKED!
After school i went with my mom to her friend's house.  Her four year old son that i had never met before came up to me, grabbed my hand, pulled me down so he could whisper in my ear,
"you are beautiful. will you be my best friend forever?"

My boyfriend of over a year broke up with me while i was babysitting my 7-year old niece. I immediately started crying. She noticed I was crying, ran to the freezer, grabbed me the pint of Ben and Jerry's, gave me a hug and a kiss and told me that he only dumped me because
I was too perfect for him.

I was having a really bas day, and I was working with a young autistic boy. We were simply looking up on the clouds when he kissed me on the cheek and said...
