You can't wake up, this is not a dream.

It's kind of scray when you realise that once your parents put you down and never picked you back up again.

Don't turn your back,
don't look away,
and don't blink.

My demons take over.
I am not who you see.
I've lost who I was,
I'm not who I used to be.
I try to resist then,
I try not to give in.
But it's a losing battle,
tonight, my demons will win.

She wishes for solutions,
every single night,
wishing against all odds,
that she might win this fight,
but her grip is slowly slipping,
it's harder to hold on,
would anybody notice,
if tomorrow she was gone?

They witnessed her destruction, 
and were left to wonder why,
she saw nothing but darkness,
though the stars shone in her eyes,
but maybe they'd forgotten,
when they failed to notice the cracks,
that a star's light shines brightest,
when it's starting to collapse.
