I don't come on too often anymore,

but if you'd like to keep in contact

just give me a platform where I can talk to you;

whether that's through email, Tumblr, etcetera.

Until we speak again . . .

I hope your days are magnificent

and your troubles small.

Someday someone is going to look at you with a light in their eyes you’ve never seen; they’ll look at you like you’re everything they’ve been waiting for their entire lives. Wait for it.

Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn’t carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life.
— Stephen King

Today I saw a quote about fighting bulimia. One of the comments on it said "...I find [[this]] beautiful in a tragic way...". This particular comment really bothered me. When people see something about self-harm, they shouldnt see it as interesting or beautiful or romantic or deep. They should see it as sad and horrible and wrong, and something that must be stopped instead of glorified with reposts, retweets, reblogs or favourites.

Please stop romanticizing self-harm-- or any type of disorder, for that matter. It's not cute. It's not funny. It's not "tragically beautiful". Just stop.
I beg young people to travel. If you don't have a passport, get one. Take a summer, get a backpack and go to Delhi, go to Saigon, go to Bangkok, go to Kenya. Have your mind blown, eat interesting food, dig some interesting people, have an adventure, be careful. Come back and you're going to see your country differently, you're going to see your president differently, no matter who it is. Music, culture, food, water. Your showers will become shorter. You're going to get a sense of what globalization looks like. It's not what Tom Friedman writes about, I'm sorry. You're going to see that global climate change is very real. And that for some people, their day consists of walking 12 miles for four buckets of water. And so there are lessons that you can't get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight. A lot of people - Americans and Europeans - come back and go, "ohhhhhh." And the lightbulb goes on. --Henry Rollins
I hope that one day you buy every pretty dress you've ever wanted. I hope you wear them and dance barefoot in the summer and laugh. I hope you smile at all the little things, like flowers, and the laughter of children. I hope you get that tattoo you've always wanted. I hope you learn to speak French fluently. I hope you go to Paris and every single state in the US. I hope you never stop singing, even when people tell you that you can't - in fact, especially then. That's when I hope you'll sing the loudest. I hope you buy a bracelet everywhere you go until your whole arm is filled with them. I hope you stop beating yourself up about everything that's out of your control. I hope you have the guts to speak up when something is important to you. I hope you step out of your comfort zone. I hope you fall insanely in love with someone unexpected. I hope you forget about your scars - inside and out - and learn to be happy.
