MY SUMMER
chapter 1

i just moved schools. we were having a new school being built for 2 seperate schools, and my shool had to move in with the other. i didnt like the idea, i was only 13,almost 14 and in year 9. I guess i didnt like change. while all my friends were thinking 'i wonder if there are any cute boys there!' i was more along the lines of 'what if im not in the same classes as you?' my friends of course. I wasnt that interested in boys. however i did have a few boyfriends before, but they werent proper.
honestly, i was excited to start my first day at my new school. i wanted to know what classes i was in, new friends i would make, new teachers. I woke up on the 3rd of September, hurrying to get changed. It was that 'new day' kind of feeling. it felt...different. i was up and ready at 7.00, i had another hour before i had to leave my house to catch the bus. i was anxious.. so scared.
the time flew by, and as soon as i knew it, i was already in my first lesson! i didnt know anyone, all my old friends werent in my classes, just the popular girls i never really liked.
i instantly became friends with a group of 4 other girls; Joanne, Hannah, Mari-ann and Sophie. They were just like me, and i found out they were far better than my friends from my last school!
Joanne and Mari-ann both had ginger hair, but Joanne dyed hers a dark brown, so you couldnt tell she was ginger. Mari-ann soon became my closest friend. hannah and sophie were more layed back, but hannah had her hyper days! sophie liked the heavy metal music, had snake bites and piercings, dyed her hair loads of times. but she didnt speak much, and thats why i liked her.
all i could think about was the worst summer ever, and how next year it was going to change. and i promised myself, i will make it change. i will get a boyfriend, i will camp out with the girls AND boys. i will get a littttttttttle drunk, but thats because im a teenager, and i need to learn mistakes to learn how to grow up.
