My boyfriend  

died saving me. we got into a car crash, and right before we

 hit a tree, he threw himself in front of me. we had been

fighting before it happened. his parents never liked me and i

thought that was the reason why he still hadn't asked me to

marry him. we were together for 4 years, 5 months, and 15

days. the night he died, they found an engagement ring in

his pocket, all smashed up. but i kept it. i didn't get it

repaired. i wear it on a silver chain around my neck. he died

saving me, and i know i'll never marry anyone because

no one will ever come close to him.
