“I’m sorry. Put you down? Okay.” He held me over the pond.
“No! Austin! Stop! Put me down!”
“Okay. Fine.” He put me back down on the grass
“Thank you.” To my surprise, he picked me up again, and walked backwards a few steps. “No. Austin, stop.” I said. He started running to the pond and he threw me in the water. I felt the cold water against my skin. I kicked my way to the surface, and struggled to swim. Incase you couldn’t tell by now, I can’t swim. At all. Austin didn’t see me practically drowning, because he was laughing. It’s not his fault though.
“Aust-” Something started pulling me to the bottom of the pond. Since it was a huge pond, it was probably about ten feet deep. I think Austin noticed I haven’t been up yet.
I was running out of breath, and fast. I opened my eyes to see what was around me. I saw Austin jump in after me. I must’ve been really far down, because he seemed so far away. He grabbed onto my wrist and pulled me up. Getting to the surface seemed like it took forever.
We finally reached for the surface, and I gasped for air.
“Katie. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know y-”
“It’s okay.” I said in between breaths. Austin got out and helped me out. We sat down on the grass and the air hitting my skin was freezing. The wind was really strong.
“I’m f-freezing.” I said as my teeth chattered and I shook. It was probably no warmer than 40 degrees. Austin scooted behind me and wrapped his jacket around me, then his arms around me.
“Better?” He asked.
“Much.” I smiled.

“What are you doing?” I said laughing. He ignored my question and we kept walking. We came to a stop.
“Ready?” Austin asked.
“I’ve only been ready for the past 20 minutes.” He laughed and uncovered my eyes.
In front of me was a big pond thing, with lights going around it. It was gorgeous.
“What do you think? Austin asked. I was speechless.
“You hate it don’t you.” He said sadly. I stepped in front of him and looked at him.
“Of course not, Austin. It’s beautiful. I love it.”
“Really?”
“Of course!” Austin smiled.
“That makes me feel better.” He said. I smiled. I don’t know why but I was freezing cold. I ignored it for now.
“Let’s play a game.” Austin said with a smirk on his face.
“Austin don’t you dare.” I knew exactly what he had in mind, so I took off my shoes, and he took his off too, along with his jacket.
“What are you talking about? I just want a hug. Come here.” He said still smirking.
“No, Austin. No!” I said running. Austin obviously caught up to me and picked me up. “Austin! Put me down! Stop!” I yelled, laughing at the same time.

“Oh right. I’m really sorry about that. Can I make it up to you?” He said seriously.
“When?”
“Right now sound good?”
“I look horrible.”
“You look beautiful. As always.” He said flashing me that gorgeous smile of his. That he knows will talk me into just about anything.
“Fine.” I said smiling. “Let me tell Kristine.” I walked over to Kristine.
“I heard. Go ahead. I’ll hang out with Alex.” She said with a smile.
“Awesome. Thanks. Oh, and can you hold this for me? Like, put it in the car or something?” I asked.
“Sure. I gotchu.” Kristine said and laughed.
“Thanks!” I said walking back over to Austin.
“She’s gonna hang out with Alex.”
“Yee. Let’s go then.” He said grabbing my hand and running out of the store.
“Where are we going?” I yelled as Austin dragged me through the streets of New York.
“It’s a secret! Here. Get on my back.” Austin stopped running, and started to give me a piggy back ride. Then he started to run again.
“Will you tell me where we’re going now?” I asked.
“No. It’s a secret Katie. Geez.” He laughed.
“Tell me!”
“Trust me. You’ll enjoy it more if I don’t tell you.”
“Whatever.” The place we were going took forever to get to. We went into some woods (and I didn’t even know there were woods anywhere near New York City).
“Okay. It’s right though here.” Austin said walking down a path. I jumped off his back and walked next to him. It was getting dark outside, and I usually hate being outside when its dark, but I felt safe. Austin started walking behind me and he put his hands over my eyes.

Chapter Three. Part

~A year later~
A year ago, the Austin incident happened. I haven’t talked to him since then. I mean, I still like Austin. He’s still that amazing YouTube singer. Even though, he’s 17 now, and he’s world famous.
My family has moved to New York City now, and Kristine’s family moved with us. They still live right next door, just like in Ohio.
Today Kristine and I were going around town to go shopping in multiple places. We needed new tennis shoes, so we went to the Nike store first. I was wearing this: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=50032804, with my hair in a messy bun. And Kristine was wearing black, Pink© yoga pants, her multicolored Osiris shoes, and a pull over hoody. I was looking through the shoes, stupidly walking backwards, and of course, I tripped. I didn’t fall to the ground though. Someone caught me, not Kristine.
“Thank you.” I said, not bothering to turn around considering how red I probably was.
“You’re welcome.” A deep voice replied. I quickly turned around. I saw who was standing in front of me, and had to bite my lip so I wouldn’t smile.
“Long time no see.” The voice said.
“No kidding. Just about a year.” I replied. “What exactly are you doing here, Austin?” I asked.
“Shopping with Alex for some shoes.”
“Not surprising.” I said with a small grin.
“Yeah. I know. What are you doing here?” He asked.
“Here as in, the store? Shoe shopping. Here as in, New York City? Kristine, her family, my family, and I all moved here a few months ago. After the incident.” I laughed lightly at the last part.
I don't love you.
