"You see things and you say 'why?'. I dream of things that never were and I say 'why not?'" ~Anon.

"Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway"  ~John Wayne

"Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures." ~Jessamyn West

"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who dream only at night." ~Edgar Allan Poe

"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself.” ~John Green

“Books are the ultimate Dumpees: put them down and they’ll wait for you forever; pay attention to them and they always love you back.” ~John Green

“What a treacherous thing to believe that a person is more than a person.” ~John Green

“When I look at my room, I see a girl who loves books.” ~John Green

“…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.” ~John Green

“If you don't imagine, nothing ever happens at all.” ~John Green

“Maybe our favorite quotations say more about us than about the stories and people we're quoting.” ~John Green

“It always shocked me when I realized that I wasn’t the only person in the world who thought and felt such strange and awful things.” ~John Green

“Here's what's not beautiful about it: from here, you can't see the rust or the cracked paint or whatever, but you can tell what the place really is. You can see how fake it all is. It's not even hard enough to be made out of plastic. It's a paper town. I mean, look at it, Q: look at all those culs-de-sac, those streets that turn in on themselves, all the houses that were built to fall apart. All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm. All the paper kids drinking beer some bum bought for them at the paper convenience store. Everyone demented with the mania of owning things. All the things paper-thin and paper-frail. And all the people, too. I've lived here for eighteen years and I have never once in my life come across anyone who cares about anything that matters.” ~John Green

“It is so hard to leave—until you leave. And then it is the easiest goddamned thing in the world.” ~John Green

“When things break, it's not the actual breaking that prevents them from getting back together again. It's because a little piece gets lost - the two remaining ends couldn't fit together even if they wanted to. The whole shape has changed." ~John Green

“The venn diagram of boys who don’t like smart girls and boys you don’t wanna date is a circle.” ~John Green

“He liked the mere act of reading, the magic of turning scratches on a page into words inside his head.” ~John Green

"Moving on to the mother country: the United Kingdom, which is the United Kingdom of Scotland and Great Britain. Great Britain is an island consisting of the 3 -- OW -- autonomous countries of Northern Ireland, Whales, and England. So, if you're in a pub in Wales and you say, 'Gee guys, I sure love it here in England!' they will punch you in the face. England is NOT a synonym for the United Kingdom." ~Hank Green

Nostalgia is inevitably a yearning for a past that never existed, and when I'm writing, there are no bees to sting me out of my sentimentality. For me at least, fiction is the only way I can even begin to twist my lying memories into something true.  ~John Green

I Have Some Questions

Do you hear my heart beat when you walk by?

Can you tell how hard it is for me to think of what to say next when you're around?

Are my cheeks red every time you talk to me?

Do you even have any idea what's going on inside me?

Do my eyes betray me?

I hope not.

Even if you can't see it, they can.

Most of them have been around me long enough to know how I can get...

But I care not about them.

I care about you

The little green dot that means you're online is tempting me to talk to you ... I'm just too afraid that I'll say something stupid and make you not like me -.-

In relation to this being categorized under "love", it's more like "nerd-like"; there's just no category for that :P
Wikipedia: Obi Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe.

Me: ... WHAAT? Does this mean that ... none of it's ... real?

x.x *life is falling to pieces*

*Reminiscing about when you were sorted on Pottermore. You start cracking up.*

Friend: What's so funny?

You: Oh, I was just remembering how when I realized I was sorted into Ravenclaw, I was so excited that I fell down the stairs to tell everyone . . . .
I'm f ighting  a losing battle . . . </3

All I want to do is protect you,

but we're never close enough.

You have no idea how it kills me so to see how you're treated,

It breaks my heart.

I'd guard you with all I had,

if only I could reach you.

[So, I know that's terrible. It's just, I have no idea how to put into words the pain I feel for my beloved, abused best friend right now.]
It's been said that words are the most
powerful form of magic we have. But ...

It's also been said that the most magical
thing we have is flourescent lights.

I'm at a loss as to which is more true.
I recently had one of those moments when I'm reading a John Green book and I can just feel that he's building up to a philosophical revelation and it's like being really excited except that it freezes my body, but my mind is vibrating -- revving, if you will -- ready to permanently remember what I'm about to read because I know it's going to be a spectacular idea.
