≠ TODAY IN MY CLASS ≠

I am indian, i live in india. In india students who have opted BIOLOGY in their hig school that is in 11th grade and 12th grade, are meant to give ALL INDIAN PRE MEDICAL TEST { AIPMT } for entering a college to be a doctor.

Today was the day for AIMPT results. Not many students got selected from my class. There was this girl sitting right next to me in my class, she opted biology as her subject , she gave the test too , she was sitting there - she was pretty, had those big long eye lashes & a beautiful smile, i don't know what was wrong with her, i saw CUTS on her hands today ! i never saw those cuts before, i used to notice her everyday -

a girl asked her about her result - &&; she got depressed suddenly & the smile on her face just disappeared within a second. She told her very best friend about the cuts' i over heard the conversation.

she said was - MY PARENTS EXPECTED ALOT FROM ME, I COULDN'T MAKE IT UP TO THEM, HENCE I WILL END MY LIFE.

i don't get it ? was she the only one ? with her parents treating her this way ? also, do the parents ever , ever realize how harsh are they on their own blood ? it's okay to flunk, its okay not to be selected, it's okay not to be intelligent, it's okay if you loose, it's okay if you cannot make it up to the expectations, it's you're life, live it to please yourself &; not anybody else, love you're life, its precious, no matter how many will bring you down, you don't have to let that smile off you face.

Parents, why don't they ever understand ! It's so easy for them to EXPECT it's hard for their own one's to fulfill them :)
