♥ {Chapter 10} ♥

I head to my dressing room, slipping on a slinky green dress and matching it with some emerald earrings.
I wait patiently in the room until someone comes for me.
"Alicia? Your turn is up." Somebody pops their head around the door, beckoning me for the questioning stage.
I take a deep breath and smile big.
* * *
"So, Alicia, if you could have one wish, what would it be?" The host grins at me shoving the microphone into my face.
I close my eyes and think hard. If I don't say exactly the right thing here, my chances of winning will be completely shattered.
I ponder over thousands of different answers swarming through my mind.
"Alicia? Your answer please?" The host looks impatient and I panic. I blurt out the first thing in my head.
"I want to win this." I say carelessly. I hear murmurs from the audience and have to cover my tracks quickly.
"I um, want to win this so that I can give half of the uh prize money to charity." I stutter out.
I bite my lip hard, what if I've blown it.
"Well, thank you Alicia. We'll see you in a few hours for the crowning." I smile and walk off the stage. I covered the mistake pretty well, I just hope it was enough to persuade the crowd to vote for me.
* * *
"Okay, the lines are officially closed. Please to not call in as your vote will not be counted but you may still be charged. Well, we've had a great few weeks and I know these girls are just itching to find out which one of them has won!" The host shouts and the crowd gives an appreciative cheer.
I stand in the center of the stage with 5 other girls, all of us eagerly awaiting the results.
"Okay. So, the first person through to the final three is...Gwen McIntyre!”  I cheer loudly and smile at Gwen.
“Also in the final three is…..Tara Whitcroft!” The host yells and I roll my eyes.
“The last person in the final three is….” The host pauses for dramatic effect.
“Alicia Malone!” I hear mad yells from the crowd.
I grin broadly, relieved to be through.
The lights dim down and I feel my heart skip a beat.
“In 3^rd place…..Gwen McIntyre!” I breathe a sigh of relief, I could actually win this thing. I mouth ‘Well done’ to Gwen and she looks ecstatic.
“And now, ladies and gentlemen, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The winner is……..Tara Whitcroft!!” I feel all of the colour drain from my face.
I lost.

♥ {Chapter 12} ♥

As I waited for my queue to enter the stage my hands shook in fright.
Gwen was blabbing on about her aunties dog, though, not really listening I just said occasionally, ‘’mm.’’ ‘’yea’’ ‘’aw, how cute!’’
All that was going through my mind was ‘’What will people say if I don’t win?’’
‘’Alicia. That’s you!’’ Gwen yelled.
‘’Alicia Malone’’ The voice boomed just before.
‘’Good luck babe! I believe in you!’’ Gwen said hugging me.
She really was an amazing person, who deserved to win this.
But I did too.
As I walked onto the stage, I saw Fayth & Lugh sitting in the front row.
I had totally forgotten it was in front of a live audience and also was being aired on T.V.
Right this minute.
I started to look deeper into the crowd.
I saw Lee. He was smiling at me and waving.
I just let my eyes swipe over him. That’s it.
I then see Jordan and Victoria.
My heart sinks. All I see is them sniggering and laughing.
Though I’m determined not to let them knock me down.
I suddenly start to stride onto stage.
Waggling my but to the beat of the music that was playing.
I tried to feel sexy and imagined myself as one of the models on a fashion magazine.
I stepped up on the catwalk, giving a massive grin.
‘’Alright Alicia.’’ Said Becca, the presenter.
‘’Today we need to see 3 signature poses, 4 technical poses and your catwalk. Thinkj you can manage that?’’ Becca questioned.
‘’Bring it.’’ I said, into the mic.
I moved to the middle of the catwalk and began my poses.
‘’Pose one!’’ The booming voice said.
I stood facing the wall, twisted and placed my hands on my hips and made the most sexiest face I could manage.
The crowd roared and the judges grinned.
I bent forward and stuck my chest out. I then gave the crowd a massive smile.
As I continued, I soon began to realize I was doing great!
The crowd roared at every pose.
All I had to do now was the walk.
I placed my hand on my hip and pranced down the catwalk.
I struck my most famous pose and turned to walk back.
I stopped in my tracks and waggled my butt.
The crowd jeered and the judges smiled as I pranced off stage.

♥ {Chapter 11} ♥

’Am a really fat? Honestly?’ I thought.
I suddenly didn’t get to hear the answer to my question.
‘’Alicia, you lazy cow. Come and get the door. One of you mates are here.’’ Yelled Mom.
Today was Saturday so again I’m stuck with Mom.
Though today was not just any ordinary Saturday, today was the finals. The day I find out if I’m meant to be a model.
If I don’t get through, I’ll know I’m fat.
The things those girls said the other night. Maybe they were all completely true.
I ran down stairs and got the door, giving mom a deadly glare as I go.
‘’All set then?’’ Fayth said cheerily.
‘’Physically? Yes. Not on the way I look though.’’ I said in dismay.
‘’Don’t worry, Alicia. Your fairy dress mother is here!’’ Fayth said, with a flourish.
Fayth got started to make me over, and trust me. I needed it!
Fayth suddenly made a blugh noise, imitating, being sick.
‘’WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?’’ I yelled.
‘’I thought you were for real!’’ I screeched.
‘’ZIT. YOU’VE GOT A SPOT!’’ Fayth screamed back.
‘’Ah crap. I’ve got no chance now. They’ll think I’m just a spotty little teenager.’’
‘’No, no. I just remembered. I got this new concealer for my birthday. It’s amazing! We’ll stop the taxi on the way there and I’ll run in and get it. Kay?’’  Fayth said, smugly.
I nodded fiercely, though I still am not sure…
 ‘’Now hurry up and put this dress on.’’ Fayth said, throwing a stunning dress at me.
Before my eyes, I see a dress fit for a princess.
One shoulder, with a rose décor at the top. A tight bodice flowing down into six long ruffles, trimmed with paler purple to match the plum color.
It took my breath away.
‘’Fayth. Where did you get this.’’ I said, breathlessly.
‘’I got it made. My auntie designed it to go with your skin tone and shape. You really deserve to win Alicia.’’ Fayth said, sweetly.
I ran at Fayth, screaming in delight.
Maybe I did have a chance of winning this thing.

♥ {Chapter 10} ♥
A couple of Lee's friend's wolf-whistled at me and I blushed and gritted my teeth.
So, Lee thinks he can show me off like I'm his little puppy?
I don't think so.
"Lee, take me home." I growl. He looks at me with shock and I glare at him.
"But we only just got here babe." He says, slinging his arm over my shoulders. I sigh but allow him to guide me along to his friends and their sl*tty girlfriends.
"Hey." A tall red head walks up to me and looks me up and down. "You're a bit tubby to be a model, are you not?" She sneers.
I feel my mouth drop open and tears form in my eyes.
"Don't be a b/tch Jordan." A petite brunette says, rolling her eyes. "You're not fat Alicia. Just, maybe not as skinny as some models, that's all. It's nothing bad."
"Alright Victoria, we get it." Lee snaps. "So, what are you having to eat then Alicia?" Lee says, trying to change the subject.
"Probably the whole f/cking menu." I hear Jordan mutter to Victoria and they both giggle.
"I'll just have a bottle of water." I whisper. He looks shocked but orders anyway.
I sit back down at the table with the others and attemped to enter the conversation.
It wasn't easy though, the boys were talking about football and the girls were droning on and on about diets they had been on, obviously a dig at me.
"So, Alicia." Jordan starts. "How long until the finals of your competition then?"
I sigh, so it's back to talk about my modelling again.
"2 days." I mumble.
"Wow! We'l have to come see you!" She says, acting completely over enthusiastic.
I sigh again and wait while the boys finsih pigging out on chips and burgers.
How come they get to eat as much as they want but if I were to have a burger and chips I would get accused of being fat?
I look at my phone to see the time is 22:37 and I smile.
I walk up to Lee and tap him on the shoulder.
"Lee, it's getting late, I need to get home."
He nods and gets up, putting his arm around my waist.
"Hey guys, watch this." He says to his friends.
Before I know it he shoves his tongue down my throat and kisses me.
I kiss him back, but it doesn't feel right. Mine and Lee's first kiss should be the two of us sitting by a lake enjoying a picnic, not in McDonalds with a bunch of boys hooting and calling. I pull away and walk quickly ouut of the fast food restaurant, Lee following closely behind.
"Look at her fat a*s wobbling as she walks!" I hear Jordan laugh.
I manage to hold the tears in until I reach Lee's car.
And then I let them fall.

Hidden Secret

~Chapter 8~
"I-I, yes!" I scream. Lee nods his head and turns away.
"I'll pick you up at 7."
I nod ecstatically and turn to Fayth.
"Oh my God Alicia! He asked you out!" She screams.
"I know, I was there!" I laugh.
Fayth grabs me by my arm and pulls me to the bus stop.
"We are catching the first bus back to your house. We're going to get you looking gorgeous for your date and Lee will ask you to marry him and you will say yes and then you will both move to England and have cute little british kids." She explains. I laugh at her imagination and we board the bus.
"Try this." Fayth shoves a pink wraparound halter neck dress with a silver bead waist. I slip it on and she squeals in delight. 
"You are wearing that." She orders. I shrug as she hands me some white heels and a pearl necklace.
"Now sit down so I can do your hair and makeup." Fayth orders. I obediantly sit down and after an hour and a half of her yanking at my hair and makeuping my face I look in the mirror.
I acctually looked really good. My hair perfectly curled, my makeup natural. I smile and we head downstairs to a car horn beeping outside.
"That'll be Lee!" I imform and we rush outside.
"Wow." Lee stands up out of his car and stares at me. "You look beautiful!" He smiles. I blush and walk to his car, giving Fayth a slight wave goodbye.
"You really do look nice Alicia." Lee says again.
I smile and lean back against the seat.

I love my life.
