I (almost) Killed Myself
"Cass..why?"
At the question of him asking "why" would I kill myself I bursted into tears, David sat on my bed and looked at me
Then the next thing I know, my head is tucked into his chest and his arms are holding on to me tightly.
"David?" "Yeah, Cass?" "Would you miss me if I did kill myself?" I look up to his face "Of course I would. Why the hell would you ask that? You are my best friend." he responds "I just wanted to know." I say as I lay my head back down on his chest.
I wake up the next morning in his arms I love him I think to myself, the only place where no one cares what I say. I really do to, I have I turned ten, a little young to acutally "love" someone, but hey. I lay my head on his chest for a few more minutes before he wakes up. "Hey Cass." His voice is much softer then it was last night. "Hey" I say back "What do you wanna do today?" I ask him "Hang out, where are your parents?" "Oh, they went to Miami. They wanted to save money so they left me here." He looks me straight in the eyes "Do they even care about you anymore?" I look away and ignore the question. "Sorry, Cass.." "It's fine. But you know the answer already.." He grabs me and pulls me into a hug. If only you could see how I feel.. "I'm going to a party tonight, wanna come?" "Sure. I have nothing else to do. Plus, I don't think you would want me to be alone anyway." he laugh "Yeah, good point."

I'm in my bedroom..I pick up the knife tonight I'm going
to end it I say in the back of my head. I put the knife to my neck when the door opens, it's David..
"What are you doing here..?" I ask surprised he's here.He looks at me, shocked that a knife is about an inch from my neck. "Cass..what..what are you doing?" he says, in a cold voice I froze at the question. About a minute passes when he speaks again. "Cass? Did you hear me?" I finally un-freeze "Yeah." I respond, "What are you doing?" Kevin, has been my best friend since first grade, he is about six months older then me, him being 16, me being 15. He has blonde-brown hair, green eyes, pretty fit a little taller then me. "I was.." I can't think of anything to tell him "Nothing, I was doing nothing." He of course knows that is a lie, having been caught with a knife in my hand.. "Cass, please tell me." I take a breath and make the choice to tell him, since if I didn't he would of told my parents.. "I was.." I sigh about having to tell him this. "I was going to kill myself.." He looks at me..he looks cold, like I just did take my life. "Cass..w-why.."
