The Rules of a Player
Chapter 10 part 4
Carson's POV
All you heard were deep voices chanting “JESSSEEEE!!!!”, and then there was me. We walked over to them, me right by his side. I’ll admit it, I checked some of them out. They were shirtless and had abs like a washboard. I mean what do you expect me to do, look at their cleats? NO! One of the guys walks over to Jesse and instantly you know they are best friends. I didn’t even pay attention to his face because I got lost in the tightness of his football pants. And his butt looked wonderful in them. He had light brown hair, almost a chestnut color. His eyes were almost perfectly shaped ovals with a vibrant emerald green color. Jesse introduced him to me, his name was Aaron. I noticed him from before. ‘Oh my god’ I thought, that’s who Jesse was walking with around the neighborhood when I was with Myanna! That’s who Myanna thinks is cute! I couldn’t disagree with her, he was cute. Just not my type. He had broad shoulders and abs that Myanna probably wanted to lick.
“Hey I’m Aaron” he said in a deep voice, a voice that I did not expect. He introduced the rest of the football team starting with his assistant captain Austin then to Jake, Chris, Tyler, and so on and so on. I occasionally heard nicknames like Peggy and Chumly that I didn’t even bother asking about. When Aaron was done listing everyone I smiled and said “Hi, I’m Carson!” and laughed a little. Suddenly I heard a roar of ‘Hey’s’, ‘Hi’s’, ‘what’s up girl’s’. Almost every other greeting possible was said to me.
We walked through the group of guys together, side by side, as I felt all of the guys looking at me. “Wow, she is really pretty” one of the guys said.  I looked back smiling to make sure he knew I heard him. He blushed and looked away in embarrassment. As we were almost at the doors Jesse’s name was called from behind us, it was Aaron.
“Jesse, my mom invited you over for dinner tonight if you aren’t doing anything” Aaron screamed down the hall.
While looking around, Jesse replied, “Not tonight I have plans. Maybe tomorrow. Sorry!” Finally we are almost out of the building as we walk past the group of nerds. They are all sitting on the ground with their face in either homework or a book. As Jess walked by them he acted as if he was better than them. I just walked beside him acting like I didn’t notice his attitude. We reached the end of the hallway which seemed hours to walk through. We were finally out of school and I was on my walk of destiny with Jesse. Let the games begin I thought.

The Rules of a Player
Chapter 10 Part 3

Carson's POV
On the other side of Tiffany was Bianca, she was just as tall as Tiffany but looked nothing like her. She had red velvet hair that made me want a cupcake. Her eyes had every color in them from dark brown to baby blue all in a circle. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail but the top of her hair was in a headband braid. Her outfit was more laid back. She wore a black V-neck shirt that showed off cleavage but not enough for her to be “falling out” of her shirt. Her black and white floral jeans were accented by the black heeled boots she wore. The buckles on the side jingled as she walked. Her accessories weren’t as bold as the others; she had a diamond nose ring and earrings. She wore a plain silver chain necklace with a circle charm. Carved in the necklace was the word LOVE and then painted in black, it was simple but elegant. Bianca also seemed really close to Tiffany but had her own style and personality. Her personality was very bubbly and open from the beginning. She came up and hugged me acting as if we had been friends for years. As she backed up she gave Tiffany an energetic look. Tiffany nodded in agreement.
“Do you want to come over Friday night? There is going to be a party at my house because my parents are out of town, and it can be a way for you to meet some new people!” Bianca asked me
“Sure! But I’ll have to ask. I don’t think it will be a problem though” I said almost immediately. I was nervous but excited to go to my first party in Florida.
“Alright, meet us here after school and we will go to my house to get ready, its ritual” Bianca said smiling.
“Alright see you then, I can’t wait!” I said, noticing that I sounded as if I have never been to a real party before. You could tell there was definitely competition on who was Tiffany’s best friend.
Last of all there was Brittany, her black hair was pin straight and went to her butt in length. She has side bangs that swayed to the left side of her head. Directed from her ear were her earrings in which both of her holes and her cartilage were diamonds. She wore a sea green shirt with studs on the shoulder that matched her eyes perfectly. The bottom of her shirt was tucked into her black tight pencil skirt with ridges. The black necklace that hung from her neck showed off her chest which she seemed very proud of. Instead of a purse Brittany wore a black cross body purse with a lot of studs. She wore black flat sandals with jewels on the top that made a v on the top of her foot and buckled at the side. She didn’t say much to me except tell me that she will see me Friday.
Jesse interrupted me before I could say anything else. “Bye guys see you later!” he said to the girls pulling me away.
“Bye Jesse” they all said in unison, dragging out the “e” sound in his name.
“Bye Carson, see you around school!” Bianca said. Tiffany said goodbye but I could barely hear her. As Tiffany turned away, each girl did too, starting with Lexi then Bianca then Brittany and Sophia. We finally got to my locker where I did my locker combination in my head. I completely forgot it. He playfully pushed me out of the way moving in front of my locker. He turned the dial twice to the left, once to the right, kneed right below the lever and opened my locker. It was amazing, but now he knows how to get into my locker. ‘Great’ I thought to myself as I grabbed the binder and folders in my locker and threw them into my bag. Jesse grabbed by bag from my hand and zipped it up for me while I quickly glanced at myself in the tiny mirror I added in my locker. He saw me looking at myself, smiled, and laughed a little. Walking down the hall a little farther Jesse kept his distance from me. Not too far, but far enough where if my hand accidently brushed his he couldn’t grab it. As we turned around the corner all of the football jocks were standing there waiting for practice to start.

The Rules of a Player
Chapter 10 Part 2
Carson's POV
Walking into the hall where my locker was, stood the “preps” with their boobs pushed up to their chins. “Here we go…” Jesse said under his breath. All of them came so called “running” over to him. All of the girls were wearing pink, that’s right its Wednesday. “We wear pink on Wednesdays” I quoted in my head from Mean Girls. The girls in the group looked at me in interest, which kind of scared me. The leader of the group, talked to me first. You could tell she was the top because she was in the middle of the group and all the other girls were her so called “back-ups”. She was around 5’ 7” with long legs. Her blonde fake curls fell by the side of her tan face all the way down to the bottom of her chest. I wasn’t sure if she was naturally that tan, but whatever it was she was gorgeous. Her eyes were outlined in black with extremely long eye lashes that made her blue eyes pop out. I actually admired her outfit though; she was wearing a black tube top with white shorts. Her outfit was accessorized with diamond earrings that I guarantee were real and heart chain necklace. She carried a white Prada clutch. On her feet were black Hollister flip flops with her toes freshly done in a French tip.
She finally introduced herself as Tiffany and complemented me on my look. She said that she admired my blue bead necklace and that it complimented my eyes. Instantly we had something in common, fashion. She introduced the girls behind her going from left to right. There were four girls following in her footsteps. The first girl was Sophia, from her looks she seemed the quietest. She had this vibe that gave off that she was quiet, but not shy. She seemed like the kind of girl that when she spoke up, every command she gave would be met. She had big brown eyes and her hair was the same with olive toned skin, defiantly Italian. She was extremely short, definitely less than five feet tall.
After Tiffany said her name, she stepped forward a little and said “hi” very quietly. The girl in front of her pushed her back into her place almost immediately. That girl was Lexi, she seemed as if she was Tiffany’s other half. She had beach blonde long hair and her bangs were pulled back into a black shiny headband that I could see my reflection in. She put a well accented outfit that consisted of a coral pink short skirt with a white flow tank top which was tucked in and wrapped around her waist was a thin black belt matching her headband. With black beaded necklace that wrapped once tightly around her neck and the second time loosely around her collarbone with black bead earrings to match. For shoes, she chose black wedges that wrapped around her ankle and around her right wrist was a black Michael Kors purse. Her eyes were shimmering with a light silver coating of eye shadow with eyeliner overtop and mascara that made her eye lashes look fake. Just by Lexi’s looks you could tell that she followed in Tiffany’s footsteps and did everything she did, down to the way she breathed. Unlike Tiffany, she had more of a “slutty” look to her and wasn’t really open for a conversation.
Lexi just looked at me acting as if she had some sort of problem with me already but looked away from Jesse not even noticing he was there. I could tell there was some sort of tension, but I wasn’t too sure what or why, but I planned on finding out. “Nice to meet you.” She said in a way that made it obvious that was a total lie.

The Rules of a Player
Chapter 10 Part 1
Carson’s POV
Walking out of Buckner’s class was probably the most awkward moment of my life. Everyone in the hallway was looking at me as if I had some sort of facial problem. All I did was look down, acting as if I didn’t see any of them. But I know the exact reason they were looking at me. I was with Jesse. I looked up at him as he we were just walking down the hall, him acting like he owned it. His chocolate eyes really did melt my heart. His hand around me made butterflies roam my stomach.
“Umm, I have to go to my locker to get my bag.” I said hoping he would leave and walk with someone else, but of course he didn’t. I just wanted the butterflies to evacuate.
“I’ll give you a tour of the school on the way there.” he said. I nodded in agreement. As we walked down the stairs to the second floor I swear he literally said hi to about three hundred people, all from different grades. Down the second flight of stairs, three hundred more people. As we walked through the doors into the courtyard commons -a shortcut to my locker- Jesse suddenly got really quiet. As I looked up I saw a group of kids that are considered “scene.”
Jesse whispered into my ear “Yeah those are the C 4’s short for commons four where we are right now. They hang out here all the time and I suggest you don’t talk to them.” One of the girls had a dead stare on me and him, like we were crossing over into their territory. The only thing that made me realize her, besides her death stare, was how awkward she looked in the group. Her beach blonde hair with bright blue eyes stood out in a circle of darkness, she kind of looked like me. It’s like we had some sort of connection but I’m still not too sure what it was. Trying to make new friends, I was about to walk over to her when Jesse pulled me back.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” he asked in a concerned way.
“What does it looking like? I was going to talk to her but obviously not anymore.” I replied with an attitude.    His grip on me was making the butterflies start up again. ‘No Carson, you just got out of a relationship. Now is not the time to look for another.’ I told myself as he pulled me away from the girl. I glanced back at her, with her eyes still locked on me. I smiled slightly and walked away with Jesse.

Chapter Nine

Just as I was about to close my locker, someone slid in a closed it for me, concealing my new books for school. It took me what seemed like forever to find my locker in this ginormous school. The fourth block bell is going to ring any minute. At this school, you have two semesters and in each semester you have four different classes. Each class is eighty minutes long.
“Hey blue eyes.” The smooth voice said behind me. Only one person calls me that. I spun around and whipped back,
“Hey Jessica.” I said; knowing that his name isn’t Jessica, its Jesse. I saw him glare at me in a very menacing way, I almost started to regret what I said but it was so worth it.
“Very smart, blue. This way to Buckner’s class.” He said to me as he put his arm around me and we walked away from my locker and into room 239. When I walked into the class I don’t know whether everyone was staring at me because they had never seen me before or because the hottest boy in the school- okay, the world- had his arm around me. Probably both.
“Oh, good! You must be Carson. You can introduce yourself and then take a seat with your friend Jesse at table three.” Mrs. Buckner said to me. She was overweight, wore unflattering clothes, and wore way too much blue eye shadow. I turned to the awestricken class.
“Hi, I’m Carson. I’m from New York and I really like Pensacola High School so far!” I took my seat next to Jesse as Mrs. Buckner assigned us a new project. The project was to creatively show how people suffered from World War II with our table partner. Unfortunately, my partner was Jesse Morgenson. Most girls probably waste every 11:11 wish on an opportunity like this. Okay, I wasted one. Well not really wasted since it came true. But Myanna told me to stay away for my own good.
We worked on the project for the rest of the block. Jesse was being his obnoxious self however. When the bell rang, I walked out of class briskly, hoping to not have to speak with Jesse for another second. But, of course, he slid right next to me and said “Hey, why don’t I show you around school and then I can walk you home?”
Not knowing what to say, I replied “Fine.” Then we walked down the hall with more menacing stares that said ‘she hasn’t even been here for a day, and she is already with Jesse when I have been trying for years’. This is going to be a long week.

Chapter Eight
Carson: hey you creepin on me just a little?
     Jesse: Yes, it's what I live for.(;
Carson: Dayum, looks like I've got a new stalker.
     Jesse: Looks like it.(;
Carson: Next thing you're going to do is tell me that you're in my closet!
Jesse: Just don't look in there.
     Carson: AAAAAH.
     Jesse: So do you want to hangout sometime?(;
Carson: Well, I don't really know you.
Jesse: Then this will be the perfect time to get to know me! Why don't you come over tomorrow night?
Carson: Maybe another time. I have to go. Bye!

Jesse's POV
Woah. This girl doesn't want to hang out with me.. she must not know who shes talking to. EVERY GIRL WANTS TO TALK TO ME.. except her. This just gives me more of a reason to want to be with her even more.
Carson's POV
Come on Carson. You can't torture yourself like this. Forget about your past, forget about Josh and Peyton, it's done and over with. But, he is REALLY cute. he wants me, for some reason. I don't know why he wants me over all of the other girls here.. I should really apologize for acting like that.
Carson: Hey sorry for being so short earlier, I had alot on my mind and I wasn't trying to ignore you or anything.
Jesse: It's okay I guess. I was kind of pushing hanging out with you.
Carson: Yeah... maybe just a little.  But do you want to walk me home sometime?
     Jesse: For real?
Carson: Yeah, I don't really know my way around so it would be great if you could.
     Jesse: Of course! When?
Carson: Tomorrow after school? Meet me tomorrow at my locker. I think I have English last block with Mrs. Buckner.
Jesse: No way! I have Buckner last block too!! But okay sounds like a plan. (:
     Carson: Haha see you tomorrow.
     Jesse: Plan on it.
Jesse's POV
Hopefully tomorrow will be the start of the new and improved Jesse. I really want to not mess this one up. I really think I can make this one last. But hey, I'm the school player, I have a reputation to uphold; and I hold it for a good reason.
