I dialed Brandon's number even quicker than usual.
"Hey babe I need to te-"
I cut him off before he could finish,
"Brandon. I had 3 texts waiting for me when I woke up.
One from Lea, asking me to call her.
One from you, asking me to call you.
And one from Jess. Her's was interesting she said something about me not finding out?"
I kept my sarcastic tone as I continued.
"What was I not supposed to find out about Brandon?"
I heard him breathe in slowly, getting ready to break my heart.
"Mel, Do you remember that party two months ago? It was at Jess's house? You were leaving for the Hawaii the next day,
and you couldn't come..."
"Yeah... what about it?"
"Well Jess's parents were out of town, and some of the older kids brought beer. Me and Jess were totally wasted after an hour and she dragged me into her bedroom. We started hooking up and it ended up getting a little out of hand."
I gasped a little, and I could tell he heard me.
"Mel, are you sitting down? There's more..."
"Just say it Brandon."
"Jess is pregnant."

"Melly where's mommy?" the twins asked.
"Sleeping." I quickly answered.
"What do you want for breakfast?"
"Cereal!" Veronica answered.
"Ok, one cereal coming up. How about you Anthony?"
"Cereal."
"Make that two cereals coming up."
I heard my phone buzz upstairs, so I quickly poured two bowls of cereal and practically threw them onto the table.
I ran up the stairs, not much more gracefully than what happened going down. I grabbed the shiny white iPhone from my desk and pulled the charger out.

Boyfriend<3: melanie please call me when you see this i need to talk to you about something.
Jess: melanie if brandon told you already im sososo sorry i didn't  think you'd find out...
