I
see
the world
melting,
falling
away drip by
drip,
tear by bloody tear
of
the faceless faithless
masses
who clamor at the
slipping edges
of reality; this reality
seeping away into
the deep dark cracks of
dimension and matter,
of time and space and the
never-ending ebb and flow,
tidal wave torrents of
tears, bloody tears, and hopeless rain–
washed revenge. This
universe fades away, falls into the darkness
as the lyrics of the
steel-soaked sob stories and tales of the fallen
fighter
soaked in sorrow. The
world is melting and I melt along with it, my essence
bending and breaking,
oily rainbows of faucet-drip fragments mirroring my
master’s bloody
tears as he is consumed by his childish pride. His lips
frame
my calling, the syllables
binding me to this dripping slipping, bleeding,
melting universe, never
to be freed from the cursed love that traps
my fading human fingers
within the desperately clinging
clutches of this
benightedly beautiful boy, too vain
to fly away with me and
leave it behind,
this melting human
world.
