What if I was
normal
Living in today
Thinking about tomorrow
Never caring about anything
Looking at everybody
Seeing them smile and laugh
Having a fun time when
I'm just here watching

But then I think
Why can't I be one of them
Why do I have to sit here and watch them

If I stand up will they all just walk by and keep laughing

But what thier really laughing at is not a joke

Wondering down the dark halls
Looking left and right
Trying not to look anyone in the eyes
Hoping no one will ask any questions
Giving a little smile at the people you know will ask whats wrong
So they wont stop by
Wondering how much longer until I can go home

It feels as if
I can yelled as loud as I could
and no one would hear me
and maybe if I left no one would notice

The only thing I want to do is
get through the day
and spend the rest of it alone
When someone slams a
door in your face
Your life just goes downhill
But when your best friend comes along and
picks you up and opens the door
You notice that there is another door waitng for you
just to get close to it but then
It just gets slammed into your face
When you see the person on the other side of the door laughing
with a couple of friends
You know that when you open the door
Its only going to close itself again
When you think everything is ok
And you travel through a couple more
You know how to handle the next
You put your foot down and stop the door
You don't look back
but only look forward and step through the next
door
Sometimes I just
have to sit through the pain

Friends are hard to find,
Are they the ones at your lunch table
or the ones that you can have a deep conversation with
or the ones that laugh when everyone else does
or the ones that cry when you do
are they the ones that laugh at you if someone makes fun of
you
or the ones that stand up for you when this
happens
