As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them. You'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. You just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.

Dear Past Me,

I know things may seem hard now, you may feel the need to just give up. But trust me, things will get better. In time you're going to meet a new guy, one who appreciates you for you, and doesn't make you feel guilty over nothing. You're going to see that right now, everything is falling apart, the person who told you you were his everything, has now acted as if you never existed. I know how it is. I was once there. You will finally find that life goes on without him and your world still turns when he's not around. So instead of reminding yourself of all the experiences you spent with him, I think its time for you to let go. He has hurt you too much. Just let the memories fade. Its time to leave him behind. I know it'll be hard but it's for the best, trust me. Letting go doesn't always mean you are weak, sometimes it means you're strong enough to let go. So love is like a puzzle. When you're in love, all the pieces fit. But when your heart gets broken, it takes awhile to get everything back together. You're going to smile and make him think you're happy. You're going to laugh, so he doesn't see you cry. You're going to let him go in style, and even if it kills you, you're going to smile. Changing is never easy, you fight to hold on, and you fight to let go. There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn't the end of the world, it's the beginning of a new life. Realize that if he doesn't care, then why should you? You're not going to be that rebound girl, the girl he just comes to when he wants you, the girl who loves him with everything she has but yet he gives nothing. You can't be willing to be that girl anymore. And you will come to realize that he's just a guy. A special one, maybe. But he's not yours anymore. And you don't need to do the little things to make him love you. You're not going to stress over him anymore.
