If you survived going from elementary school to middle school, it will be a piece of cake! Theres absolutely nothing to get nervous about! It may seem like a scary place but I absolutely love it! Theres not giant changes too! For instants you probably already know how to use a locker and getting to classes would be simple. As long as you walk in with a big smile on your face, you'll love it! Good luck Freshie:)
Have a code word or signal to say to a friend if youre feeling anxious so they caan find a way to take you out of the situation if possible. Talk to your teachers about it so they can understand, and communicate your feelings. And guidance counselors almost never help so visit the school in the summer to get to know the counselor so she/ he can help you in whatever way possible. Good luck darling, I wish i could go to.your school to help you out!
Hey, I moved schools where I didn't know anyone so it's good that some of your friends are there.. But the main thing is be yourself when talking to people.. I admit I was nervous (I have mild social anxiety) but have 10 seconds of insane courage and talk to someone in one of your classes.. You never know, they may become a good friend to you.. If theyre rude to you.. Then obviously you're too good for them haha :) and about the anxiety.. Keep a phone on you (if you have one) so if you feel at any point uncomfortable you can text someone, also you could ask around who will be getting the same bus as you and could talk to them more and they could become someone you get the bus with :) im sorry of this is no help.. Im sure you'll be okay :D x
I remember starting high school.
I had to catch the bus (it was only 20 minutes) but throughout primary school, I was always driven to and from school.
I didn't know anybody who was going to the school. I mean, I recognised a couple of people within the entire grade... but they weren't friends or anything. I was the loser who was carrying around the map of the school. Hahhaha.
But seriously. Nobody but me and my parents remembers my first day.
And the sad thing is, no matter how much you worry or freak out, no matter how much you don't want to go, you have to.
Similar thing starting university this year. Nobody knew anybody at the beginning of semester but as time goes by, you make friends. Nobody recognises anybody (at least... I don't) on the first day.
I'm starting a new semester in two weeks so I'll have to make new friends AGAIN but it's alright. Everything always turns out fine =)
Thank You.
Don't worry! I forgive you tho!!♥
See what God can do??
