Chapter 2
Makenzie's P.O.V.
Me and Tyra walked through the double doors into the school.
"I'll see you in homeroom Makenzie, okay?' said Tyra. Then she headed off to her locker.
"Okay", I said.
I headed off to my locker, put my bookbag in, and then took my Math book and my binder out. I shut my locker and headed off to Math class.

I took my seat in Mr. Mayhew's classroom, next to Tyra.
"Tyra do you know what we're going to be doing today?" I said.
"No, but I know what YOU'RE going to be doing. Haha," said Tyra smiling at me.
"Haha, stop it," I said laughing. I stuck my tongue out at her.
"Okay," Tyra said rolling her eyes. She turned to face the front of the classroom as Mr. Mayhew walked in.
"Good morning class, today we are going to work on graphs. You need a partner for this assignment. I will let you choose your own partners. Get to work! Mr. Mayhew went to his desk and started typin g on his conputer.
Me and Tyra automatically looked at each other.
"Partners?" I asked looking at Tyra.
"Definitely," said Tyra.
"So, how are you going to start a conversation with Mike?" asked Tyra.
"I'm gonna 'accidentally' bump into him in the hall. Then we'll see what happens," I said confidently.
"Okay. So what are you going to-"
"What?"
"Look," said Tyra. I followed her gaze up to the front of the classroom. A familiar guy walked up to Mr. Mayhew's desk.
"Mr Mayhew," said Mike, "Mr. Dylan told me to give you this." He handed my teacher an envelope.
"Oh em gee it's him," Tyra wispered. I rolled my eyes.
"Thank you," said Mr. Mayhew. Mike nodded his head.
And as he left the classroom, his eyes turned on me. He put a smile on his face. Then he turned his head and walked out the door.
"Woah! Did he just smile at you!?" exclaimed Tyra.
"What, that? Oh that was nothing," I said.
"You're face is all red. Haha, he did smile at you. I saw it!" said Tyra.
"It is? Shut up." I said crossing my arms.
"Okay," Tyra said. She started to work on her graph. When she wasn't looking, I had a huge grin on my face.
Yes! He actually smiled at me! Today is gonna be a good day I thought.
I returned to my work after that, still smiling.

Imperfect Love
Chapter 1
Makenzie's P.O.V.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! My alarm sounded. It was 5 a.m. Great. And to make it worse, it's Monday. I don't like Mondays. But I had to pee so I got up out of bed. I took a quick shower then I slipped into my outfit for the day. An off-shoulder top, skinny jeans, and my Uggs. I blew my hair dry and put it up into a ponytail. I applied my make-up, then went into the kitchen to find my dad reading the newspaper.
"Morning, Makenzie," my dad said as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Morning, dad," I said quietly. I grabbed some cereal and sat down at the table. It was just another day. But today, I was determined to have a conversation with my crush, Mike. I don't think he likes me, but I'm gonna find out today.
The clock said 6:34 a.m. I had to be at the bus stop by 6:40. Early huh? So I walked down to the corner of my street and waited for the bus. I saw the bus coming around the corner and it came to a stop. As I got on, my best friend, Tyra James, motioned me to sit with her.
"Hey girl!" Tyra exclaimed. That was basically her catch phrase.
"Hey! Guess what today is!?" I said. Tyra rolled her dark brown eyes at me. She was used to be being hyper.
"Monday?" Tyra asked sarcastically.
"Well, yes, but that's not what I was going to say...I'm going to talk to Mike. There's only a few days of school left and I want to get him before someone else does."
Tyra looked at me and then she had an excited smile on her face.
"OMG REALLY? You go girl! Good luck!" Tyra exclaimed. She gave me a big bear hug.
"Haha, yeah. I'm going to need it..." I mumbled.
