Chapter 3
 
Janelle’s POV
“So what are all your schedules?” I asked as soon as Kaili got to our room.
“Well I have jazz 1st, then science, contemporary, free period, lunch, English, hip hop, lyrical, history, then math last,” Aria exclaimed.
“Oh good!” Kaili said, “I have history, science, acro, free period, lunch, English, lyrical, jazz, math, and then hip hop.”
“Well I have history, jazz, acro, free period, lunch, lyrical, math contemporary, science, and English last.” I told the girls. “So what about you Payton?”
“Oh I have jazz, history, contemporary, free period, lunch, lyrical, science, acro, English, and then math.”
“So we all have free period together! Yay!” Aria shouted.
Just then there was a knock at the door. “Come in!” I said. The door opened and in came Ms. Sword.
“Hey girls, I just wanted to let you know that the competition team meeting starts in 30 minutes so get down to the assembly room at 5.” She told us and then left.
“So did all of us make it?” Janelle asked.
“Yeah!” I screamed.  “And I bet we are all A team, too.”
*At The Meeting*
“So ladies,” Ms. Karry said pointing to the covered pictures on the mirror, “The B team. On the bottom row is Andrew, Hannah, and Nicole. Second row, Dante and Liam. And on top of B team is Brendon. Now for the A team. Bottom row is Dylan, Payton, and Janelle. Second row is Jaxon and Aria. And on top, the best dancer is the academy right now, is Kaili.”
I was sad I was on the bottom, but I was so happy for Kaili. We all ran to hug her.
“Hold on girls, we have a couple people trying to get on the teams and any of you are at risk. The new comers are Maybelle and Jason. That’s all we needed to discuss here. Practices for A team are from 7 til 9 every night and B team is from 4 till 6. We will discuss assignments at practices tomorrow.”
*At Practice*
“Okay, so the assignments. Kaili since your on top you will have a hip hop solo, a lyrical duet with a B team member, and be featured in the group. Aria and Jaxon you will have a jazz duet and be in the group. The rest are in the group. We will be going to a competition in 2 weeks. So lets get started. Start leading stretches Kaili.”

Chapter 3
 
Kaili’s POV
The 4 of us walked down to the assembly room for the first school meeting. We were a little late so we slipped in and grabbed some seats in the back.  Ms. Sword had already started the assembly.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this year our schedules will be a little different. We are not requiring PE because dance is already exercise and many people had trouble having homework, dance, and extra physical activities. However, you may choose to take PE still, an extra dance class, or loose 9^th period completely.” The whole room exploded with excitement. Everyone was excited for more free time. “Settle down kids. If you don’t take the PE class you will have a free period which could be at anytime of the day. So your schedules have already been made, with a free period where PE would be. If you want PE or an extra class come to the admin building and I will fix it for you. To get your schedules please have people with the last names A-H go to the dining hall, I-P in the admin building and the rest stay here. This concludes the assembly and you may exit now.”
Payton and Aria ran off to the admin building excitedly while me and Janelle skipped off to the dining hall. Some one grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I turned to look and it was Brendon, my ex-boyfriend.
“Kaili, I’ve wanted to talk to you for forever now,” Brendon said.
“Well I wanna get my schedule so can we talk later?” I asked “Janelle you go ahead,” I shouted to her since she was about 10 feet in front of me.
“Why don’t we get in line together?” He asked.
“Um sure, I guess,” I answered and started walking, “So what did you wanna talk to me about?”
“Well I was wondering…if maybe…You’d like to try again?” Brendon asked.
“Oh Brendon, I can’t.” I told him.
“Why not?”
“I just can’t. I’d love to be friends though. Okay?”

“Whatever,” he said, turning away from me. We just stood like that the rest of the wait.

Janelle’s POV
”We Here!” Jaxon yelled and ran out of the car.
I hopped out looking at all the buildings. I missed this place more than I thought. We went to the administration building hoping it would be open since we were here early. I pulled the door open and saw the principle and secretary inside at the front desk.
“Ms. Young! Mrs. Sword!” I yelled. They looked over and smiled.
“Janelle, it’s so good to see you again!” Mrs. Sword exclaimed, “Get your dad so he can check you in.” Jaxon ran out to get him. Dad signed some papers and left, then we were given our room numbers. I was in house B room 12. Jaxon was house F room 24. We got our keys off the hooks and headed to the houses. I claimed my bed, the one next to the heater and started putting my things in my closet and dresser when Aria came in.
“Janelle! I missed you!” She came over and hugged me. “What have you been doing over summer?”
“Nothing really I’ve just been shopping a lot.”
There was a knock at the door and Aria went to get it. “PAYTON!” She yelled throwing her arms around her.
“I’ve missed you guys so much!” Payton called from the doorway. She looked at the clock on the wall. “I wonder where Kaili is. I’m already a little late.”
“Sorry I’m late guys! Joseph wouldn’t get up this morning,” Kaili interrupted.
“Kaili!” We all screamed together.

Chapter 1 (Part4)
 
Payton’s POV
Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm clock woke me up for breakfast at the orphanage. My parents left me here as soon as they had me. I was one of the oldest in the orphanage and I doubted anyone would adopt me. The only thing we could ever do here was dance. That was where my passion came from. One of the volunteers, Ms. Jenna, was a dance instructor so she taught classes for us in our free time. When she saw how fast I could pick up dances and how graceful I was she had me take private classes. Then she sent me to the Academy, paying for it herself. I guess you could say she is like a mom to me.
I brush my dirty blonde hair and put it in a pony tail on top of my head. I threw on some ripped jeans and a white v-neck. The only jewelry I wore was a heart on a long silver chain. I walked out of my room and down the stairs to the dining hall. I sat next to my best friend here, Elizabeth. She was 15, a year older than me. We didn’t really talk at breakfast. She was always sad when I left. I was the only person she could talk to here. When we finished she came up to my room with me to help me finish packing.
“Do you have to leave?” She asked
“Yes, and you know how amazing the academy is. It will help me become a professional dancer” I told her.
“I’m going to miss you terribly!” She said, tearing up.
“I’ll miss you, too! At least the Academy is only 2 hours away. Some people live days away, so I’ll try to visit more often. And you can text me on the phones we got last year!” I told her.
“I know, but it will be hard not talking to anyone,”
“If there are any problems, please text me!”
“I will,” she promised.
“Payton, it’s time to go!” Ms. Jenna called from downstairs.
I hugged Elizabeth one last time and took my bags down to the car. Ms. Jenna was going to be driving me to the academy today. I waved to all the other kids, making sure to hug the littlest ones who liked me and thought of me a big sister

Chapter 1 (Part 3)
 
Janelle’s POV
“Janelle! Janelle! We’re going back today!” My cheery twin brother Jaxon shouted. He was mostly excited to go see Aria, my bestfriend and his girlfriend. “I know Jaxon. Just let me sleep for 5 more minutes!” I begged, looking up at him. I couldn’t say no to his big blue eyes, the only difference between us. I was the older twin and I babied him. “Okay fine.” I gave in. He wanted to see Aria as soon as possible. We both had jet black hair and pale skin but where his eyes were pale blue, mine were jade green. We were model status at the academy. We danced like professionals too. We could perfect any dance we did and we were amazing at duets together. We’d both been dancing since we were 3. Other than being dancers we were like any other family and I would risk my life to save my family.
I hopped out of my bed and walked into the bathroom me and Jaxon shared.  I brush through my long hair and just let stay wavy and natural, down 3 inches below my shoulder. I just put on some eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes look fierce. Then I picked out some black jeggings that were exactly like jeans except they had no front pockets or zipper. I loaded my 4 bags into our Mercedes and then went to make some breakfast. Jaxon had started making pancakes so I finished for him while he loaded his bags up. We quickly cleaned up the kitchen and our rooms then said goodbye to our mother. We wouldn’t be home until November and it was only September. Now it was about 2. Perfect, we had 2 hours and it was only a 1 hour drive. We waited in the Mercedes for my dad.

Aria’s POV
I went to my bathroom and closed the door. No one knew what would follow. Not even Kaili, Payton, or Janelle. I threw up my small breakfast of a cheese omelette and orange juice. I held back my waist length auburn hair as I brush my teeth. Being anorexic wasn’t something I was proud of and if you looked deep enough in my eyes you would see I was guilty of something. I lived in the biggest house in our city and had the richest parents in the state. I should be happy with who I am and proud of how I look, I’m always told I’m gorgeous and my body is to die for, but that wasn’t enough for me and dance was the only way I escaped all my feelings and felt perfect. That’s why I was leaving for The Academy in a few hours.
I walked out of my bathroom into my large bedroom. I walked to my full length mirrors and looked at my stomach, almost satisfied. I walked into my huge closet to pick out the perfect outfit. I throw on some white shorts and a purple and black cheetah cropped top that showed about 2 ½ inches of my stomach. I go back to my bathroom to curl my auburn hair so it just reached my shoulder blades. I put on light makeup so it complemented my emerald green eyes and tan skin. I took my last suitcase off the nightstand and finished packing. I had all the necessities I needed in my 5 suitcases to make me look amazing on and off the dance floor. It was now 12:27 so I would be leaving for the academy in about 30 minutes since I needed to be there to check in between 3:30 and 4.
Most teens at the academy only go back home for holidays. It was and escape from the real world where everyone with passion got to express themselves. Only the best of the best dancers made it through auditions and once you passed you never auditioned again. It was how I met the people that changed my life forever. How I made friends with people who had the same passion and loves as me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my friends back home but I need people who understand me completely

Chapter 1 (part 1)

Kaili’s POV

“Joseph! Wake up!” I yelled at my brother, “You do remember your taking me to The Academy right?”

“Yeah, yeah whatever,” He mumbled back
“We have to leave in an hour, so get up! Don’t make me sit on you again” I insisted.
“Alright I’m up!”
I walked across the hall to my room. I put on my light wash skinny jeans and shredded Mickey Mouse tank top. For make up I put on black eyeliner and mascara. I brush through my blonde hair that was down to the small of my back. Today I am going to Carston Dance Academy. I had a scholarship since I could never afford to go there without it. I live in the grungiest, poorest part of my small town. My mother left when I was 3. So that was 11 years ago. My dad was a druggie and alcoholic. He was never home so me and Joseph took care of each other. He started working when he was 14, my age. Hip hop dance was where I could let out all my stress and hate. Hip hop found me when I was 8. Carston found me when I was 9. I packed all 2 of my bags into the trunk of our beat up car and waited for Joseph. I couldn’t wait to see all my friends again.
Hey Readers! Sorry for the boringness:/ This is part 1 of chapter 1. Most chapters will only have 1 person’s point of view and will be much longer. This chapter will have 4 parts to tell the background of the 4 besties. Most POV’s will be from the 4 besties but occasionally they will be from another person’s.

Summary/ Introduction

The Carston Dance Academy is for people with talent and pure passion.  Kaili, Aria, Janelle and Payton have always been bestfriends. They have always been on top as best dancers and most popular, but when new girl Maybelle comes along will she steal someones place? All the girls have their stuggles with friends and love but will they come together when the academy needs them most? Will they win nationals? Its up to the girls not to let anyone get in the way, not even the boys.
