this has happened to me twice: first time, it was 2 am... my best friend had to run away from her dads house when he got drunk and his wife got high- she had to leave her 4 yr old brother behind. second time it was 12 am my other best friend called me in tears. i could barely understand her when she said "my dad just died" she had only lived with him for two years.
