In my opinion, one of the dumbest acts the our world has preformed is to treat our youth like they don't know anything. In a way, they are smarter than all of us. They will fail a lifetime of failures. They will get their hearts broken and will cry a million tears. They will dance and test the limits and sometimes they might even break. But you see, they have a secret that the rest of the world has forgotten. You can't truly succeed until you have failed. You will never know the real meaning of love unless you've felt it's pain. You will never know joy or how far you can really go until you've reached those limits, and you will never be able to build yourself up to everything you can be if you've never fallen apart. Youth know that sometimes the bottom is the safest place to be and that when you get something wrong you're just just that much closer to the right answer next time. I think it's time to stop treating these children like they don't know what they're talking about and try to remember what we knew when we were them.
