Getting Away With Murder

Chapter 4

The bell for school to be over rings and everyone gets up, Grabs their items and we all head out the door.  I was the last one out, to avoid another session of teasing. The substitute looks at me and asks me why i'm still sitting here. I just tell her that i zoned out. I quickly get my purse and binder and leave out of the door. My flip lops make a small noise as i walk through the empty halls, Trying to find the exit doors.

I push the door open and feel the sun radiating off my skin. The light shines in my eyes and i pull out my sunglasses and set them over my eyes. Still, people look at me like i'm discusting. I don't even know what i did to deserve this kind of punishment. I never hurt them, Or teased them about their clothes. Nothing.

I walk down the sidewalk and hear a car stop next to me. I turn my head and see it's Kaela, Hiding her looks from everyone so she doesn't get picked on, Samson, And Zoe. I climb in the jeep without any second thoughts and let the wind blow through my wavy brown hair. My blue eyes sparkle from the light going through my shades and i quietly sigh, Wanting to go home and cry in my pillow.

" So, We're going to my house to get ready for tonight." Shouted Kaela.

My eyes widen a little." B-But i don't have anything to wear for the party. Can we stop by me house t-"

" I've got clothes you can wear. It's all covered!" Winked Kaela.

I go to say something, But i choose to ignore it and go back to gazing at random objects.

" So, When we get there, What are we going to do after we get everything ready?" Asked samson.

Kaela tells him we're going to get dressed and dolled up. I didn't bother speaking. There was no need.

We pull up to Kaela's house and start to get ready.

She looks at me with a twisted smile. I raise an eyebrow and feel my arms getting pulled by all of her force. She drags me into her guest room and darts to the closet.

" What are you doing?" I ask.

" Getting you ready for the party! " She says.

I grunt and felt a heel punture my belly. I quietly make a painful noise and grab the heel from off of the floor. She throws a white and black summer dress at me. I look at it carefully, Studdying the patterns and designs of the dress.The chest area had the fleur de lis  with a few sequent designs. Then the bottom was all black and poofy. The dress was stunning.

" You can keep the dress. It's like a year old, It's no use to me now." Shrugs Kaela

"Thanks." I tell her.

I go into the rest room and get changed into the cute frilly dress. I take off my tattered clothes and slip on a towel. I run into Kaela's room and she snickers a bit.

" Looking for something?" She wiggles her eye brows.

She holds up the strapless bra i need for the dress. I scream yes and we playfully fight over the thing, Me still holding onto the towel. She finally gives up and hands me the bra. I quickly run back into the bathroom and change.
When i step out of the bathroom, I hear the clatter of my heels stepping onto the hard wood flooring. Kaela and i walk down the stairs together and the number of people seemed to triple. Kaela suddenly shuns me away and chats with all of her popular friends. I look around and sigh. I make my way to a couch and sit down. I twist my hair, Bordly.

What was the point in comming here if everyone is just going to ignore me?

I'm SO SO SO sorry for  not posting anything
in a long time!!! I've been on vacation with family and friends.
I haven't had any time to write the 5th chapter. :( I'm so sorry everyone!!

Getting Away With Murder

Chapter 2

Korey pulls into the driveway and i get out of the car, Telling him i love him and tell him to behave today. He softly laughs and tells me alright. Then, We make our seperate ways.

I could feel the eyes landing on me when i stepped onto the school's grounds and hear the scoffs and mumbles in the different cliques and groups of people. I glance around, And make my way to one of the tables made of concrete in the back and start to figure out question number 16.

I hear a few people set their bodies on the concrete seats and i look up. It was my friends; Kaela, Annie, Zoe, Ryan and Samson. Samson gives me a devious look and i raise an eyebrow. He kept smiling, But I have no clue why. I narrow my eyes at him when he spoke.

" You know, Everyone is going to Kaela's party, Right? " samson said with the smug look on his face. I just wanted to slap it off him right then.

I shake my head and say," I can't go. I have studying to do for finals."

" They could wait for tonight. It's going to be So much fun! Kinsey, You HAVE to come. Please?! " Said Zoe with puppy dog eyes.

I give in, Biting my lip, And quietly sigh." Alright. Kaela, I'm going to say i'm staying the night at your place, Okay? "

Kaela nods her head, Her bown curls bobbling with her. She squeels in excitement and i find myself smiling at her stupidity. I roll my eyes and tell her it's only a party, Nothing more. But Kaela being Kaela, She has to go on a rant about how it's one of the best parties of the year. Kaela always trys to prove me wrong, Even when i'm right. It does get annoying, But she's one of my friends and i still love her as a sister.

Ryan Stares at me with awe. I know he has a crush on me, But he isn't my type and he doesn't fit my standards. He is obsessed with himself and doesn't really care about anyone but himself. He has a crush on almost every girl at this school, I just happen to be one of those crushes.

" How are you going to get the alcohal, Kaela? " I ask her. Her parents never have any alcohal in the house. They both don't drink, So i'm a bit curious as to where she can get her hands on liquid toxins.

She looks at me like i'm stupid and rolls her eyes," Pfft, I got people to hook me up with some alcohal, So don't worry about that. " She winks.

" I've got all the games planned out and the pool already clorinated, So it's ready to have hundreds of people swimming in it." Said Annie. She was Kaela's little sister. She flips her dirty blonde bangs out of her icey blue eyes.

I nod my head and hear the bell ring for home room. We all tell each other bye and to plan different things for the party, Just to mix it up and make it fun, Then we walk away from everyone as if we never knew each other. I suck at comming up with fun idea's, But i guess i could try.

I mean, How hard can it be?

Getting Away With Murder

Chapter 1

I wake up to my alarm clock buzzing, Drowning out any other sound that my ears were trying to pick up. I groggily sit up, My hair a complete mess, Bags under my eyes, And curled in my soft blanket. I reach over my bed and slap the alarm clock, Making it stop it's annoying sounds. Sausage and pancakes lingure through the house and i smile, taking in the delicious smell.

I stretch, Popping my back and my toes. I lift the blankets off of me and face the chilly air. I shiver and rub my eyes, Taking in another sweetening breath. I walk over to my mirror and examine my looks. The tears were dried on my cheeks,From crying all night because of how much i was hated at my school,  and my hair frizzed, Some peices spun in different directions. My pajamma shorts were hanging low, Like ussual and my tee shirt was still the same tee shirt, Just with mascara stains all over it.

I hear my name being called down stairs and i groan, Walking down the wooden steps. As i make my way down the cold stairs, a pair of feet are galloping behind me. I find myself Squeeling and punching my older brothers back as i was being lifted into the air.

"Put me down!" I say inbetween laughs.

" Not until  you give me back my favorite shirt! I know you have it!" He smiled and still kept me in the air.

" But it's so comfortable!" I pout.

" Well, I still want it back! I need it for tonight!" Korey said with a smile laced on his lips and his eyes glistening from the light shinning through the window.

" What's so special about tonight?" I ask in curiousity.

My mother tells Korey to let me go and he respectfully listens. I laugh a little longer and smile at my brother. He was crazy sometimes, But was a real sweetheart if you knew him like i did. He was close to me and my mom and would do anything to keep us both safe and happy.

My mom sets three plates at our dining table, I walk over and take my seat. I sat across from my mom and Korey sat on my right. She slaps two pancakes, Bacon, A biscuit, And scrambled eggs on mine and Korey's plate. In the center of the table was the syrup, Ketchup and a small plate for our toast.

" So, Kinsey, Do you have your algebra and u.s. History homework done?" my mom raised an eyebrow and sipped her coffee.

I smiled and said," Yes mom. It's all finished. I just have a few questions on number sixteen in algerbra though. I can get help from Mr. O' Donnell."

My mom nods her head but i can see the worry in her eyes. I give her a light smile and eat my breakfast as fast as i can. I didn't want to be late for highschool again. And the first time wasn't my fault. Korey teased me with my looks and my homework grades so we both got into a playfull argument for about twenty minutes.

I rinse my now empty plate in the sink and set it at the bottom, Heading upstairs to Get dressed and finish my make-up. I trot up the stairs and close my door tightly behind me. I get dressed in my torn shorts with the claw marks through them and my white tang top with a silver anchor on it. I slip my grey flip flops on and brush my hair, Putting it in a bun, And let my bangs float down infront of my face. I brush my bangs and put them in a way that suits me. I set my sunglasses infront of my eyes and grab my purse, Pulling out a stick of gum and chew the minty stick.

My brother make a comment on my outfit, Telling me 'Where's the rest of your jeans?' I roll my eyes behind my shades and walk to my brother's car, With a hop in my step. Korey soon comes out and we both tell our mom bye and we lover her. She tells us the same thing but tells us to be safe. We both wave bye before speeding down the road, Heading to school.

" Do good in school today, Okay? Don't let anyone pick on you just because you like to read and study." Korey smiled and glanced my way. I smiled and quietly tell him thanks before eyeing the road. I see the gravel glide under us and i quietly sigh.

 I wish Korey knew how much i was hated at school . . .

Getting Away With Murder

The cold air nips at my toes and nose, Making me shiver even more. Snow starts to fall and the night stays quiet. I still keep my eyes open, Knowing the cops will be out searching for me again.  

Staying outside in an  alley doesn't help me much. I'm sitting in the cold, With no blankets and no food. It gets darker down the alley when you walk away from the street light. I can't be in the light other wise someone will notice me. I know i need to change my look, But i can't without money. I could rob a store, But the cops would be able to find me easier and i couldn't add on other problems while i'm dealing with this one at the moment.

All of a sudden, I hear sirens in the distance and i'm up on my feet, Grabbing my small bag filled with little tools and knives. I slip my bag over my shoulder and start to run down the alleys and winding streets.The sirens get closer and i start to regret everything i ever did wrong. It was an accident, I didn't mean to do what i did, But those other girls wouldn't stop making fun of me. I can't control my anger but this, This was too far! I really messed up.  I can't let the cops catch me, My mom and older brother would be furious with me!

The sirens get closer and closer and my breath becomes short gasps. One foot infront of the other and my bag jingling as it bounced up and down. I run faster, Finding a tall enough tree to climb. I quickly grab the bark and make my way up the tree, Stepping on every sturdy branch.  I hear a cracking noise and i look up, with wide eyes. The tree branch snaps and i fall. I scream and hit a few branchs on my way down to the ground. I land on the grassy floor and can't breath. My mouth is open but no air escapes my lungs. I finally get up with a groan and inch my way closer to the tree, Hiding behind the giant thing. I peer around the side of the tree and wait for the police to drive by. The red and blue lights flicker and pass me, My mouth stays open in disbelief. It was an ambulance this whole time?! i thought.

My cheeks burn from madness and i feel a vein pop out. My back was surely bruised and i could have died from running from an ambluance!! I give off a sigh of relief and slump down to the trees roots. I close my eyes for the first time in over a week and start to rethink everything that lead me to where i am now.
If only i didn't get picked on by those girls . . .
