Summer Coast is a story writen by three awesome girls named Nikki, Hatty, and Lizzie. Summer Coast is a story about a girl named Rowan who moves to Florida with her dad. She meets Paige Ryan and Maddie. They all instantly becomes friends. But the summer wont be able to stay forever and soon they will go back to school. Rowan doesnt want to leave of course, but will she have too? Or will she find a way to stay there and make the best of it? Read Summer Coast to find out! (:
Rowan: 15 year old girl who just wants to have a fun summer. She has blonde hair and green eyes. Rory is what everyone calls her. She has a step dad, a mom, a stepmom, a stepsister, a half sister, and a dad. It's crazy. She only lives with her dad, stepmom, and half sister while living in Florida. She can't wait to find out what in store for her on the Summer Coast.
Paige: Paige is a pretty average 15 year old. She's kind and crazy and pretty popular. Unfortunatley, being in the 'it crowd' she can't trust many of the 'friends,' so she's delighted when out of town girl Rowan comes to stay for summer. They have a whirlwind friendship- but summer doesn't last forever. But will they...?
Madison:
Madison is kind and caring. She is the big sister of Paige and she loves her to peices. She turned 18 last month and gets called Maddie or Madz by all of her friends. She lives with her mum and dad and of course her little sister Paige. She lives in florida. Her little sister makes a new friend but Maddie begins to feel a bit left out as all her friends have gone to university or taken a Gap year. It dosn't help that her sister has a new Best Friend and Maddie dosn't so she can't help but feel jealous. Will Maddie make some new friends? Find out! soon!

POV
'Look,' I explained.
'There are two popular cliques. And that one, you, you just don't want to get involved with.' I explained to Rowan, as we sat in the cafe, drinking shaken vanilla milkshakes. I was annoyed about seeing the two girls from the other popular group- the 'Lessers' as we called them- they were all girls and we were convinced they were 'less' than us. Our group was better.
But it was hard to explain to Rowan. I guess where she was from everybody was friends.
'So, what now? We have an hour before your Dad comes? Do you wanna get back to mine? It's two minutes down the street?' I asked.
'Sure.' Rowan beamed, polishing off her drink and getting up.
I lead her out of the cafe and out to the main road.
In minutes we were at mine.
'Wow- your house is so nice!' Rowan grinned.
'Thanks.' I smiled, picking up a note from the table.
Hey Paige/Maddie,
Hope you're okay, me and Dad have gone out. Be back at 5. xoxoxox
'Parents will be back later. What do you wanna do?' I asked.
'Um, up to you.' Rowan shrugged.
Suddenly, the front door burst open, and there was Maddie, Talia, Ki, Jose, Ben, Nick, and Dawes, people from her school who she'd obviously met on her way back.
She sighed at me and went upstairs with her friends.
'You and your sister seem really popular.' Rowan said.
'Always out with friends. It's so different where I love. Everyone stays in on weekends- y'know, homework and stuff. I've only ever been to a couple of parties!' She laughs at herself.
'Well- it's hard to be clever and have a social life.' I admit.
'You'll do well on your exams- what will I have? Memories, I guess. And they won't get me a job!'
We both laugh.

Maddie's POV
I came out of the changing rooms just to see my sister. Couldn't she leave me alone for once? I hated always having to look after her. Being the eldest. She was the baby of the family and always would be... never getting told off and always getting what she wanted. I hated it! Why would anyone listen though? You get treat like you are the bad one but your not your just the easyest person to blame because your the oldest. I quickley gave paige and Rowan a look of disgust and then jumped into the other end of the pool. Only to see Matt. Could I not have some time with just me and my friends? "Hey Matt!" I smiled brightley trying my hardest not to sound mean. "Hey Mads you look nice today!" he smiled. I smiled. It was nice getting compliments. When we all got out of the pool we went to the cafe to get something to eat. I ordered a salad and a skinny latte. The thing when you were with guys was that you had to do something to get noticed. My trick was making out that I always ate healthily and treat my body like a temple. It usually worked. I picked around with my salad only eating the lettuce and cucumber and leaving the tomatos and other salad. As I looked up from my food I saw matt staring at me from under his eyelashes. I blushed. maybe I was wrong.... Maybe I did still like him....

Rowans POV
I splashed around with Paige, laughing.
"Rowan? Is that you?"
I turned and searched for the person calling my name, "Huh?"
"Oh! Hi it's me Deonna!"
"Oh hi!" I smiled finding her.
"Who you with?"
"Paige!"
She gave me a look of disgust. I was confused.
"Whats wrong with Paige?"
"Oh...Nothing!" She faked a smile. I decided not to go any further into the matter.
"Wanna come with me and Bi to get some ice cream?"
I looked over at Paige, who was glaring at the to girls.
"Nah. You guys go ahead. I'll tag along some other time."
They shrugged and walked off, their pony tails swishing across their back.
"Why in the world are you talking to 'them'?"
"Whats wrong with them?"
"There the popular girls! Trust me, you don't wanna be friends with them."
"Why can't I be friends with everyone?"
"Listen, thats not how it works down here in Florida. Your popular or you nothing."
I shrugged and floated in the water. "I dont think it matters but whatever."
Paige, who didn't want to start an argument just floated in the water silently.
"Hey guys!" Ryan smiled, jumping in and splashing us.
"Hey hey! You coming over for dinner tonight?" I asked.
"I think so..My parents and siblings might come too."
I nodded and Paige waved, "Hey Ry!"
"Wanna come over to dinner with us tonight?"
"I dont know..." Paige sighed, "Family time." she rolled her eyes.
"Well, maybe right?"
"Yeah...Maybe."
I nodded as Maddie jumped in next to us with her friend.
"Hi guys!" Paige smiled. I smiled and waved, then whispered to Paige, "Whos her friend."
"Thats Talia." She whispered back.
"Oh, hi Maddie. Hi Talia."
"Let's play sharks and minos!" Ryan suggested. We all agreed and swam to the end of the pool.
So far, this was the best summer of my life.

POV
I opened my eyes, and immediately looked at my clock. 8.45. I panicked for a split second, and then remembered there was no school, it was summer. I relaxed, but suddenly my phone buzzed. I unlocked it and checked the screen.
Rory:
Heey um did u want 2 meet 2day?xx
I smiled, and checked outside.
You:
Sure:) Wear ur bikini & get ur dad 2 drop u off @ Stoneside Pool @ 10.00 okay?xx
Rory: Sure sounds good lol!xx
I quickly put on my white bikini and then some back shorts and a plain tight white top. I tied up my long brown hair and just applied some waterproof mazzy and suncream. I grabbed my beach bag and went downstairs.
'Hey, parents.' I grinned to my Mum and Dad who were lounging around.
'Hey, sweetie. What are you doing today?' Mum smiled.
'Pool with Rowan- y'know, Ryan's cousin. She's here for summer.' I replied.
'Oh, great. See you later- and remember to buy breakfast!' Mum calls.
I step out of the door and walk down to the local pool.
It's already packed, but I see Rowan's Dad's white convertible pulling up.
She sees me and waves.
'Hey, Paige!' She grins.
'Hey, Rory. Ready to have the best time of your life?' I laugh.
She looks at the sweeping waterslides and the vast array of blue water.
'Can't wait!' She laughs.
'I just have to be back for 4- family time.' She says.
'No problem.' I respond.
When we both step out from the changing rooms, I get a surprise. Right opposite me, is my sister. She's with some girls from her year, Talia and someone else, not KIm but I guess she partied too hard last night. I smile and she waves back at me and Rory, who waves too. We bundle our bags into a locker and then race to the pool and jump in.
Summer is going to be amazing.

Maddie's POV
Was I a bad person for being jealous of my best Friend? She was pretty and I wish I could look like her. I eventally found her surrounded by a group of guys dancing away with her eyes shut. She was clearly drunk. "Kim? I think we should get home now!" I shouted over the loud music. "What?" she replied staggering across to me. I needed to take her home now. "Come on Kim we are going now!" I said grabbing her arm and pulling her across the dancefloor. "No!" She shouted pulling her arm back. " I wanna stay! You can go home like a little mummy's girl if you want but I'm staying!" I was shocked at what my supposdely best Friend had just said to me but she was drunk and didn't know what she was saying... or did she? Shut up! I thought to myself. "Fine then!" I replied dropping her arm. I walked away from her and out of the party. I waited for a Cab to come and pick me up but it was going to take a while to get here.
I looked around and saw Matt waiting for a Cab to come for him. "Mind if I share?" I asked as I walked over to him. Maybe I did still like Matt or maybe I just wanted to be friends but I wasn't sure at the moment. Matt Smiled at me and said " Sure!" then Laughed. He was so good looking when he smiled. The Cab finally arived and we both hopped in. I didn't know if Paige had come home yet but she probably had done. I smiled to myself as we sat and darkness driving home....

Rowans POV
"See ya, Paige!" I waved as she walked away. I took a seat on a near by chair, sipping my soda. I was beyond tired. I wondered how I would get home. I figured I would just walk. I flipped open my phone and texted my dad.
Hey, I'm walking home. Wait on the back porch so I know which house is ours? I texted.
Sure thing! He replied.
I stood up and made my way around the people and tried to get to the beach. As I approached the beach, I was stopped.
"Hey, your that new girl Rowan, right?"
I nodded, looking up at the bleach blonde haired girls.
"Your seem...sweet and cool."
"And friendly!" The other added in.
I gave them a weird look and they giggled, "Oh don't look like that. We could be great friends! I'm Deonna and thats Bianca."
I nodded, "Okay. You guys seem nice and cool too..." I added awkwardly, not knowing what I should say.
"We should totally talk sometime!" She smiled a plastic smile, her lip gloss shimmering in the sliver on moonlight.
"We should talk sometime!" She scribbled down her number on the same napkin Paige's number was on.
"Ta Ta!" She smiled and wisked off with the other. I thought about it and decided to add the numbers into my phone. Maybe they would get me somewhere in this summer. I could be popular for once. I smiled at the thought of that and countined down the beach, hoping I wasn't keeping my dad out long. As I finally neared the house, I smiled when I saw everyone out on the porch. Dad was sitting next to Ollie, they were both drinking coffee. Alli was in Dad's arms. I walked up and smiled taking a seat.
"Hi!" I whispered.
"Hello, Rory." Ollie gave me a soft and gentle smile. My dad looked up, "Rory-Bear!" He smiled, knowing it would annoy me. I rolled my eyes and walked inside.
"Good-night." I waved and walked into the house. I got into my pajamas and got into bed. I lay there for a while thinking about everything that happened that night. I finally fell asleep, hoping my summer would be a good one.

POV
'RORY?' I called out.
I still couldn't see my friend anywhere. I decided to check upstairs.
I walked into the first room I came to- and sharply walked out again, shuddering at what I had seen. I walked into the next one, and there was Rowan and Blaine Kingsley.
'Rowan, Hi. And, um, Blaine, Hi. Why are you guys here?'
'Um, nothing, just, er, talking.' Rory explained.
She walked out in front of me, and so did Blaine. As he walked down the stairs, he turned round and winked at me.
Uh oh. That could only mean one thing?
I caught up with Rowan and steered her onto the dancefloor. We danced for ten minutes- or was it twenty, thirty? She was a brilliant dancer, but I had to admit I wasn't bad, seeing as I'd been to a lot of parties. All the time she was smiling at me, and I promised myself I'd make her summer here in Florida amazing.

I was aware people were getting shifted out of the party. I cjecked the wall clock in the living room: 11.34. I walked to the door and saw Ryan.
'Hey, Ryan- are you okay to take me home mate?' I asked.
'Sure.' He smiled.
I pulled Rowan out with me.
'We need to meet soon Rory! Text me, yeah?' I asked, quickly pulling a paper tissue from the table and scribbling down my number on it.
'Here- now text me tommorow, okay. We could shop- or go to the beach. You should meet some of my friends round here too.' I assured.
'Oh my gosh, thankyou, so much Paige.' Rory grinned.
'I can't wait. This will be the best summer ever!'
Then, before I knew it, Ryan was pulling me outside to his car, and I could only hope I'd see Rory again.

Maddie's POV
When me and Kim got the the party it looked amazing! There was banners up and streamers and balloons. This was definatley not what I had been expecting. It looked more like a prom than just a teen party! I went over to the drinks table and poured myself a coke. I know I could drink but to be honest I didn't feel like it at the moment. I looked around the room to see who was there. What? Across the room stood Paige with another girl. I stormed across the room . “Paige? What do you think your doing here?” I asked. She smiled and said “I’m at a party just like you!” I thought. "Yes but why didn't you tell me we were going to the same one?" I laughed. This was quite funny when you thought about it. It was embarresing though to have your little sister with you at a party.
"Who is this?" I asked gesturing towards the other girl who was stood there with her. "This is Rory! My new Freind!" She smiled. I sofened. It was cute that my sister had made a new friend. Yet did she have to learn that friends ditch you at the time you needed them most which for me was now. "Ok... Well you have fun! I'm gonna go and find Kim!" I laughed. Kim always managed to get lost at partys. She was the girl that all the guys liked. I was just the ugly friend.
