The Blood Rose Series
Faded Pink- Prologue
I grasped onto the pale white note, snowflake colour, and
carefully re-read the words time and time again. I was
trying to sink the words into my head, and my heart. The
words were full of pure emotion; it was obvious in the
beautiful wording and the neat, but still scruffy
handwriting. I was shivering out of shock, and I stood
there, in front of my grey faded locker, that had the light
from the large windows shining through, beaming on me and the
locker. I had the beautiful note in one hand, and a faded pink
rose in the other. The rose was beautiful; different shades of
pinks, slightly lighter than each one, and the petals were
seperated neatly, causing my heart to melt. I felt so loved.
Re-reading the note again, my heart melted into mush.
"Dear my beautiful Krissy,
I love you with all my heart. It skips a beat when I see
you stare back at me,
and when you smile that beautiful smile of yours, with your
cute dimples
showing. You're so insecure, but you have no reason to be.
Everyone
else thinks you're stunning, and you are.
Love from, your secret admirer xxx
I turned my head, the bones in my neck stiffing, and I watched
all the people walk past me, gossiping and smiling with their
lipgloss smiles on their make-up faces. I never wore make-up, I
never personally found the need to, and I was never able to
apply it.
All the couples were holding hands, kissing each others cheeks
and having their moment, when they look into each others eyes
and they fall in love. I always envied them, as I was forever
alone, no first kiss, no true love, only heartbreaks and bitter
tears from my puffy eyes.
Until now.
This is the prologue for my first story in The Blood Rose
series. There will be over three books, not sure how many yet.
