Hello.
My name is Abigail, I'm a 19 year old girl who is trying to figure life out. I am currently going to college to study english and psychology. I have an amazing boyfriend who, as cliche as it souds, I love more than anything. I love poetry, Ron Pope, and Ellen Hopkins. I spent my entire high school career with my nose in a book; in my opinion, nothing is better than a mug of hot chocolate and good book on a rainy day.

Oh my goodness I hope he gets better ): I'll keep you guys in my prayers. I know what you mean, I suffer from anxiety and slight depression and I would have nights where I just couldn't sleep and Rohit would spend his entire day on the phone with me to make sure I was okay. He was the one who convinced me to tell my parents and now i'm on medication and everything is getting better(: I agree with you, I believe we have soul mates too. Maybe not that there is just one person in the world for you, but I believe there are people in this world that are perfect and who I'm meant to be with. My mom says to that the guy I'm supposed to be with isn't going to be in India. I disagree but haha Thats cute that he can't wait for the future when you guys can be together(physically I mean). I really hope everything works out for you guys (:

Thank you, I hope you guys work out too! I know I completely agree, not being able to touch and be together is probably the best thing. It brings you so much closer to the other person. My friend will tell me about things that are bothering her in her relationship and I'm like just tell him but she doesn't feel comfortable with that. I could tell my boyfriend anything, we talk about everything like nothing is too uncomfortable or left unsaid between us and I love that. That is one of my favorite things about our relationship. He is, he is the sweetest, nicest guy I know. Your boyfriend must be the same way though; a lot of people just leave when others try to push them away but he seems to really care about you(: Honestly I feel like the distance and knowing we have to wait to be together proves how much the other person loves you. I don't know what your circumstances are, but due to his career path and I'm going to college it's going to be about five years before we can both be together for longer than just a visit or two a year, where we can be together for months and months on end, and we only can see each other probably once or twice a year cause he lives in India and I'm from the US and so between the cost of tickets and everything we can't travel that often and so knowing all of this but he is still willing to wait and be with me... I don't know, to me that just proves that someone really cares about you. Haha sorry, it's not often that I meet people who are also in LDRs and people who aren't don't seem to understand so its nice to talk to someone who does(:

I know, like within the first week of us talking I had an anxiety attack and started freaking out and I was certain he would never talk to me again and when I woke up the next morning I had a text from him saying good morning and asking if I was okay, we've talked everyday since haha I agree, like people either don't understand how hard LDRs can be or they just think they're fake relationships but honestly they take a lot of work. But I'm glad we're in a long distance relationship honestly, because it's brought us a lot closer than i think we would have been if we were together, do you know what I mean? Lol

If you watched the movie City of Glass and didn't like it, at least give the book a chance... movies always ruins books anyways. I don't know if you're into this kind of thing but Vampire Academy was alright. Kissed by an Angel, I love that books series... and yeah haha sorry again /:

It's not one of those things you sit there and think about.. it sort of just comes to you. A tune is in your head from a different song, and then you sort of alter it and boom, a sentence or so you read from a book or per se Witty, or some sort of quote suddenly turns into another line of poetry and then when you find a way to make it all make sense in an inspirational way, or dumb way depending on the mood you're feeling, you've got a portion of the song. And most songs repeat, of course, so once you have the verses other than the bridge and chorus, then your good to go.

more fun for me.

Though I do agree that people need to be realistic about that by working in fast food or retail they won't make a great living and that having a job is better than no job, I do just want to say that normally when people say that the wage of $7.25 an hour is unlivable its because they are talking about family situations. When parents lose their job and they only one they can get is at McDonalds and they have to try to support a family, minimum wage isn't going to cut it. Now yes, there are idiots out there who just complain to complain about it and they need to go get a higher education if they want to be paid more, but that's not always the case. I'm not trying to put down your opinion in any way, I just want to share another side of the situation that people may be talking about it.
reply 0
Dishonored* 1 decade ago on quote #6926450

In that situation, yes it could be unlivable, and if that is the case then complain on; I just don't think it's right to pinpoint McDonald's specifically when there are many other companies that pay the same amount. McDonald's employees aren't the only ones that have $7.25 an hour jobs, so I just have an issue with anyone that has an "I work for McDonald's, I'm notoriously under-paid, pity me" attitude; which was what the quote's point drifted to. If someone has a family to raise and their only option is McDoanld's I can understand complaining, but if it's a 17 year old that just bought a new car and is complaining because it's going to take forever to pay it off, then no, they should suck it up and be glad that they actually have a job. Anywho, the main purpose was that everyone treats McDonald's like it's a really horrible place in general, and they act like $7.25 is a major rip-off even though that is normal, so it's not actually that bad.
