There was a girl. She was 7. Her hair was in pigtails and she
wore a bright yellow summer dress. She held a sign that said "Go
Dad Go!" and a small rose for her dad. She waited at the
finishline for her dad to finish the race. She waited and waited,
then he came bounding around the corner with his hands in the air
and a smile on his face. When he saw his little girl standing
there with the sign and the rose, his smile spread all the way
across his face. As he crossed the finish line he turned around
to try and find his daughter. That is when he heard the
explosion, then the other. His grin disapeared as he yelled and
searched for his daughter. When he finaly found her, fear and
sadness took over. He bent down and kissed his girl before the
medics took her away. The last thing the girl saw was her brave
daddy in tears.
Then all went black.
( This is not a true story but it represents the day of the
bombing of the Boston Marathon.)
