Untitled
chapter 4; part 2

I made my way down the street, earphones in, and music blasting. Gina only lived a few blocks away from me, so it was easy to get back home.

With out warning, a car flew past me down the street, barely missing me. I watched as it screeched to a holt, and started backwards. It stopped next to me. The window rolled down, and it was Travis. He was only a sophomore, but he had his license, which I highly doubt he got legally.

    “Need a ride?” he asked.

“Not if your going to drive like that,” I retorted.

“I'll slow down,” he said, sticking his tounge out at me.

I walked around the car, and hopped in. It smelled, well, like guy. Sweaty, unclean, and gross.

“You know, cleaning this car once in a while wouldn't kill you” I said,

“Well, with whats in here, you never know.”

I laughed. Travis was probably one of the funniest kids I knew.

We ended up in front of my house about 10 minutes later. It usually took about 15 from Gina's house, but with the way Travis drives, it was shorter.

“Thanks for the ride,” I said, getting out of the car.

“No problem” he said, driving away.

As I walked inside, I heard my mom singing. This could only mean one thing. She had a date.

Ever since my parents divorce, my moms been on the hunt for a new man. She could never stay single for long. Especially not now.

“Who is it this time?” I asked, throwing my bag on the counter.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“You know, your date. Who's it this time?”

“How do you know I'm going on a date? I can't just be happy?” she said, with a hurt expression on her face.

“Mom, you know your never this happy unless you have a date. Who is it?”

“Fine. Its a guy from work. But hes so nice Ana, I think he might the one!” She said, excited now.

“Oh just like the last guy? And the one before him. 'He might be the one!' You say that all the time.”

Now I know this might sound mean, but it was true. My mom was always dating someone and when she did, she would always say 'Oh this is the one!' when in reality, they would just break up and she'd move on to the next one.

“Ana! Do no-” but before she could continue, I was already on my way upstairs.

“whatever mom.” I yelled back down.

I took my phone out and texted everyone on my contacts list.

Party at my house at 9. Bring whoever, and whatever.

   “Shh”, I whispered.

“Are you sure they went up here?”

I heard two pairs of footsteps coming up the stairs.

“I'm positive. A boy and a girl”, I heard the voice say.

“What'r we gunna go?!” I asked Paul.

“Follow my lead..” He said back.

We snuck over to the railing and looked over. From where we were, we saw to men who were deffinatly   not students. They walked into the 3rd floor hallway while me and Paul snuck down the stairs form the roof. We made sure they weren't coming back, and then ran. We ran back through the door that led to the hallway, back to the pool deck, and back into the hallway that smelled of sweat and chlorine.

“That was close” I whispered, as I looked behind me to make sure no one was there. When I turned back around I saw Paul. He was laughing at this point. Hysterically.

“Its not funny!” I joked, laughing too.

We walked back into the gym, as the pep rally came to an end. The football players were doing some stupid chant in the middle of the gym as the cheerleaders spelt out the initials of our school in their pom poms.

“Thank you everyone, and we hope to see you at the game tomorrow!” The principal announced. “Everyones dismissed!”

Automatically everyone rushed out of the gym. Paul grabbed my hand, and walked me out.

“I wanna see you this weekend”, he said, pulling me closer to him.

    “Call me tonight,okay?” I said.

“Okay” he said, kissing me and walking away.

I couldn't believe he'd be gone in 2 months. I'd have to make the most of it, I thought.

I walked out to my bus and walked on. I took a seat in the back, put in my headphones, turned them on max, and looked out the window. It was one of those moments when you feel like your in a sad movie. All I could think of was Paul leaving. A tear rolled down my cheek. I know it wasn't for another two months, but I couldn't help it. I liked Paul way to much to just let him leave. %9.98 to much.

(Sorry its so short! i'll have chaper 4 out by tomorrow I hope!)

(I know its long, but PLEASE READ!)

“And then he said 'You won't miss me' and I was like 'How can you even say that!?'”

“Yeah, he told me the other day that he doesn't think you like him” replied Kaylee.

This was the problem. Paul was doubtful. He never believed that I like him, even though I couldn't explain to him enough how much I really did.

“You know, I could say the same to him because it doesn't even seem like he likes me either.” I said.

   At that, the bell rang.

“Hey, I'll see you at the pep rally. Try to save me a seat, kay?”

“Alright,” I said back, “Me and Mariah will be in there already because we have gym ,so just look for us.”

I walked out of class, and pushed open the doors at the end of the hallway. As people pushed by me, I saw Paul and Travis leaning up against a locker.

   “Hey Paul”, I said smiling.

I leaned in to kiss him, but he turned his head.

“...Is there something wrong?” I asked.

“Oh, um..nothing..i guess” he said back, not making eye contact.

“Can we have a moment Travis?” I asked.

But Travis was already turned around, walking away.

“Really, tell me whats wrong” I demanded.

“Its just...I've been thinking, that maybe..”
But before he could finish, the loud speaker came on, ordering all students to the gym immediately, saying that the pep rally would begin in approximately 7 minutes.

Paul started to walk away, but I stopped him.

“Tell me whats going on Paul. Now.”

“Maybe now's not the best time.”

“Its a perfectly good time. I want to know. Stop hiding this”I said.

“Its just that...I've been thinking that maybe...your beautiful” he replied, smirking.

“Your such a jerk” I said, punching him playfully in the arm.

He wrapped his arm around my waist, kissed my cheek and pulled me down the hallway, towards the gym. We walked in to an overcrowded gym, full of peppy cheerleaders, pumped up football players, and irritated students.

“As long as were out of class” I said.

We picked a seat in the back of the bleachers, high up to get a better view.

“You know I mean what I said” Paul whispered in my ear.

   “About what?” I asked.

“About how your beautiful. You truly are”

I blushed, and looked at him. Our eyes met, and just as he went to kiss me again, the principals loud voice boomed over the speaker.

“Welcome everybody! To our pre-game pep rally!”

The crowd cheered, as the football players walked out and into their seats behind the podium.

“I hate how much attention they get” I complained.

“Hey, be nice. I was a football player too” he retorted.

“Sorry, it all just seems overrated. They're people too. its not like they came from heaven and are going to bring world peace.” I replied.

“Wanna get out of here?” he asked. “since its so overrated” he mimicked in a girly voice that sounded nothing like me.

The art of holding on. CHAPTER 2

Are you on your way!!!! A text from my friend Jordan read.
Almost! i replied.
It was halloween. my favorite holiday. I lloved getting dressed up.
Plus the free candy isn't half bad either.
Jordan, Marie and i were being Charlies Angels together.
.....
I showed up at her house around 5:30 .
"Hey!" jordan said, as I walked into her living room.
"Hey babygirl, whats up?" i replied.
"Not much, were almost ready to go. Are you?"
"Almost" i replied.
"Do you have some gloves i can borrow?"
"Of course!" Exclaimed jordan.
"Wheres Marie?" I asked.
"Oh, shes in the bathroom. You know how she is. She has to be PERFECT"joked Jordan.
"okay, ill go see her" i said, while laughing.
I walked in the bathroom, and sure enough there was Marie, looking fabulous as ever, but not  thinking so.
"Come on Marie were gunna be late" i told her.
"Oh just hold on, I have to fix my hair" she whined.
It looks fine!" i said.
"Its not like Stevens gunna be with us anyway" I said, loud enough for Jordan to hear from the other room.
"Shhh! You know i dont want her to get mad! You know what happened with them..I dont want her to get mad at me too."
"Okay, okay." i said, jokingly.
All of a sudden a scream came from the living room.
Marie and I ran it to find Jordan in the corner of the room, with a man and his gun in the other corner.
Pointing it at her.
"Hi ladies" he said, with a devalish smile.
"Wh-what do you wa-want?" I asked, scared out of my mind.
he turned and pointed the gun at us now.
"I just want money. We can do this the hard way, or the easy way. No trouble has to be caused. Just hand it over" he said so calmly i swear its like he did this as his job.
"Ill go find it..." Marie said, shaking now.
"Listen, theres a gun in my dads draw. I need you to go in there and grab it plus the money under the mattress. grab both." Marie whispered in my ear.

I walked down the hall and into her parents room. I lifted the mattress and found $57 underneath. I then opened the draw and as she said it would be, was a gun, the size of my forearm.
How does she expect me to hide this? i asked myself.
I slid the gun under my jacket and walked back out to the living room.

"How much you got there, honey?" He asked.
"Fi-fifty seven.." i said weakly.
He reached out to grab the money, when i pulled out the gun and pointed it at his head.
"I guess were going to do this the hard way then" he said, smiling like he was happy with my decision.
He retreated slowly, pointing his gun back at Jordan who was now crying in the corner.
"See girls, Im not any ordinary robber."
He started to walk around the room, my gun never dropping from my hands, still pointed at his head.
"I do this quite often. most people just hand over what they've got, and mysteriously never remember what they went through. but you girls..you've got nerve."
He started walkingtowards Jordan who was obviously, mroe scared then we were.
He lifted up her chinwith the gun and made her look him in the eyes.
"Except for you darling. whyr you crying? Im not going to hurt you"
she screamed as loud as she could.
"Shut up!" He yelled, louder and longer then her.
"Leave. NOW" Marie yelled.
"Or I'll call the cops!" she exclaimed.
"go ahead. they wont ever find me."
he began to walk towards me now.
"why dont you just put that gun down, and no one will get hurt."
"Never." I said coldly.
"I like you. Feisty are we?"
He came over to me and slid his hand under my chin.
I put the gun to his temple.
"Oh, and brave too!"
before he could do anything more i kicked his gun from his hand, kneed him in the stomach and pushed him on the ground.
Marie took his gun and held to his head while jordan tied his feet and arms together.
"Obviously, SIR, you've misunderstood us."

   Have you ever thought...
that maybe girls bleach theire hair, tan their skin untill its orange, wear push up bras, load on makeup, straighten their hair everyday, and act flirty, because thats the only way they feel beautiful?  Thats the only way they feel loved? We all have a way to feel beautfil, and just because we dont all have the same method to beauty, doesnt mean that we need to judge. So this ones for all the girls who dont feel loved, who dont feel beautifull and are trying the best they can, to help themselves the only way they know how. being their own version of beautiful.<3

He was differant when i met him.
Sweet,kind,outgoing.

Now 3 years later, im a 9th grader. And i can't help but love him still

I turned around to see his bright green eyes staring down at me.

"can i walk you to class?" he asked.
"I wouldn't mind that. Unless...i might ruin your reputation" i joked.
