okay, first off this is confusing so you might want to consider re-posting this becuase I had to read four times.

Okay, so if Jake still wanted to be with you, then why did he break up with you ask your best friend out? That's what doesn't make sense to me. Also dating this CJ guy just out of pity is asking for trouble. Don't date someone just because they're feeling lonely due to a recent break-up. They'll get over it and you only end up hurting yourself. I understand what abercrombie12196 is saying but you know how it is. Talking about it is easier said then done. If you do decide to talk about it with them all, don't be acussing. Instead of saying "You did this..." try "I feel hurt because...". Corny, I know but trust me, it'll work better. Another thing that gets me is did you tell your friend that you weren't over your ex? If so, then it was rude for her to go out with him. But if not, next time try and make it a point to be clear with your bffl's about your stance in ending a relationship. We're the feelings mutual or did either you or him do the "breaking up" part.
I think that you should gently break up with CJ, and try and mend things with Jake. But tread lightly my friend! Remember, he dating HER now so you don't want to make it seem like you're interested again. Good luck and I hope this helped
