This is for anyone with low self-esteem,

You're so beautiful.

I love the freckles on your nose, they bring out the colours in your eyes.
Your hair frames your face perfectly.
Your laugh is contagious and you always make me smile.
That sparkle in your eyes when you smile, show me your strength.
Your smile looks perfect on you, you should wear it more often.

It doesn't matter if you have acne.
It doesn't matter if you're not the 'perfect weight'
It doesn't matter if you tall or short.
It doesn't matter if you're not the same as everyone else.
It doesn't matter if your clever or not.

All that matters is someone thinks you're beautiful just the way you are,
and that someone is me.
I wish you would love yourself the same way I love you.
The way your friends love you.
The way your family love you.
 

If approximately one million people commit suicide every year,
then you survived yesterday when 3000 people couldn't.

That makes one suicide every 40 seconds.
Now count 40 seconds and think

"I've made it further than one person"
 
Which is amazing, I'm so proud of you.
If you make it through today,
you've survived what 3000 other people couldn't.

When was the last time
you did something for the first time?

You cannot tell sad girls that they are pretty
         unless you are prepeared to hold them
         as they cry hysterically at 3 am.

You are not allowed to tell sad girls they are perfect
             if you have never seen the wounds that cover their bodies
             and represent each battle lost in a war with themselves.

And I am begging you, please do not tell sad girls
               that you are in love with them
               unless you truly and entirely are.

It's terrible that people
actually hate themselves
because they aren't
a certain weight,
or don't have certain grades,
or don't have this or that
and will literally cut themselves open.

People are terriified of being judged
because they don't look like the
person on the cover of that magazine,
So maybe if we showed people
that it's okay to be who they are,
instead of just saying,
“Don't be afraid to be you”
“As long as your confident it doesn't matter”
“Be yourself, everyone else is taken”

then maybe there will
be less people
with slashes on their wrists
and notes saying
“I'm sorry I wasn't good enough”

mirrors
are just
glass
and you
are more
than
that

I want to inspire people.
I want someone to say to me
“Because of you I didn't give up”
I want them to mean it.

Only open your mouth if
what you're going to say is
more beautiful than the silence
