Small rant here, I'm not trying to hurt anyone’s
feelings. I'm a very opinionated person, and this is my
opinion.
Everyone seems to be obsessed with how they look and how much they
weigh and tanning, really? So let’s get this straight
people. (Don’t be offended you can have your own opinion, I
won’t kill you.)
First of all. Yes, I am a size 0. No, I don't take 'skinny
pills’; I’m not bulimic or anorexic. I'm a
perfectly healthy human being. No, I don't eat grains (gluten,
rice, corn) or cow milk, or a lot of chocolate and I'm
perfectly ok with it. (No I don’t diet either. I eat Primal.
Meaning the way we're supposed to, if you actually want to know
more read the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson.) Don't tell me
I’m not healthy because I don't go to McDonalds every
other night (disgusting by the way). It used to be that people were
picked on, or 'shamed' because they weren't skinny, now
it's all "Oh, you’re not a size 12, you’re not
healthy, you need to eat more." I'm not saying that if
you’re not skinny you’re not perfectly healthy. Yes,
some people are born a little over weight but most, not like we are
now. A five year old should not be 100 lbs. I'm sorry, but it
isn't right. Look I’m not trying to be mean or anything
but it needs to be said because I’m sick and tired of being
harassed because I’m not overweight. Just because
someone's skinny doesn't mean they're on a diet,
bulimic, anorexic, or on some kind of pill. There’s this
thing called a metabolism, and I happen to have a fast one.
Second. No, I don't slather my face in makeup. Nor I don't
use cover up on every little bump or wrinkle. And somehow, guys
still like me. Huh. Who would of thought? (Just to clarify yes I do
wear makeup, just not a lot. And I rarely put on more than mascara,
a light eye shadow, and very little foundation. It’s really
all you need.)
And ah, the debate of the century. What with the tanning?
(Rhetorical question) Do I really need to look like a walking
cancer cell? Besides that, come on. A little healthy tan now and
then isn't bad but every. Freaking. Week? Really? (I’m
talking tanning beds here and spending hours upon hours in the sun)
As a rather pale person in winter, I lightly brown in the summer
but I don't look like I match neon orange shoes. I'm not
saying tanning is a bad thing (Actually it can be...) but you
don't need to be orange. That’s just absurd.
Being concerned about how we look is a human thing. I understand
this. Completely. But I don't support obesity. That doesn't
mean I’m walking up to random people who are overweight and
telling them the need to lose weight, it just means I don't
think it’s okay. Size 12 used to be the average woman in
America. I'm not even going to say what it is now. Starving
yourself to be skinny, or taking unknown pills, isn't right
either. And I’m not saying every girl should be my size,
I’m just saying; stop harping on the ones who are. The whole
makeup issue, just remember, sometimes those raccoon eyes, are
attracting the wrong boys. As for Tanning, go ahead. Keep
destroying your wonderful natural glowing skin. Sometimes, a little
two hour tanning session in the sun is a good thing, but not every
day.Small rant here, I'm not trying to hurt anyone’s

Okay, so that turned out to be a rather long rant. And again I will
state, I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad. But like I
said I'm sick of being harassed because I’m skinny,
don't wear tons of makeup and am a little pale. And I’m
sure there are other people who agree. I already know a few. So
please if you are going to reply to this saying I am delusional,
stupid, and need a slap in the face, don't bother. I won't
reply to those. I'm up for a nice clean, intelligent debate.
But I’m not going to sit around pointlessly telling everyone
they’re wrong.
Thank you.
