Kaia;

Justin didn't text me. He didn't call me. Or come to see me. Three weeks without a word.
"Kaia, you really need to go back with mom," Troy said, searching for his car keys.
"Never. Never, ever, ever. But, if you want me to leave . . ."
"Listen, I gotta go to work. Be good."
With that, he left.
I got up and rushed out the door, making my way into town. I needed to get away.

Justin;
"THANK YOU, CALIFORNIA!" I screamed into the microphone, as I was walking off the stage. Between all of the concerts and signings and the movie, the past month has been as hectic as hell. To admit it, I even forgot about Kaia, but only for a few minutes.
"Justin! I love you!" A red-head screamed as I headed to the limo. I winked at her, "I love you, too."
Finally, I was heading home to get some rest.

When we got home, I rushed up to my room and fell asleep quickly. Rest was what I needed.

Kaia;
About a week later, I was walking to the library, listening to my iPod and I saw Anthony, the guy I met at Ryan's house, sitting with Ryan and Pat. I was hoping they didn't notice me, but they did.
"Hey, Kaia, come here."
They said my name, stressing both syllables. Ky-uh. I walked over to them, and tried not to make eye contact with Ryan. If I did, I know I'd end up ripping his head off.
"Hey, guys. What's up?"
"Nothing, but, how do you spell your name?" Anthony asked.
"K-A-I-A, why?"
"Just making sure you knew that, so you can put your number in my phone."
Well, that made no sense, but at least he was cute. We exchanged numbers, and I went back to Troy's apartment. I hoped things would start to get better soon. Maybe I'd find a real relationship, and maybe Ayla would start to want to be around me.

Justin;
Ryan texted me that Kaia and Anthony were flirting big time. I knew better than to trust him, so I decided to ask Kaia about it.
"Hello?" She said, when she picked up the phone.
"Hey, Ky," I answered. That was my nickname for her.
"What's up?"
"Nothing," I lied.
"Oh. So why did you call me?"
"A guy can't say hi to his friend?"
"Oh. Well, hi."
"No. The reason I called was because Anthony asked about you. . . ."
"He did?" Her voice perked up. I found my answer now.
"Yeah. Um, well, I gotta go. Bye, Ky."
"Bye Justin."
Damn. I found her first, and I take her to see my friends. What do they do? They steal her away from me.
I had three concerts that day, and interviews that lasted for hours. This happened for a few weeks straight. I was so busy all the time, and I needed a break.

Kaia;
My brother, Troy, was excited to have me stay with him. It was boring, though. I honestly had no friends anymore. Maybe I should hang out with Ayla.
You see, Ayla is pretty much the exact opposite of me. Our faces are almost identical, but she has brown hair and green eyes, and is a complete girly girl. I was more of the HotTopic wardrobe kind of girl. We got along well, though.
I texted her, but she said she had plans. It kind of hurt, being turned down by your own sister.
"Why does my life suck?" I asked myself while watching TV.
Justin;
I was back on my regular work schedule, which meant no time for friends. I had a meet and greet at 12, and then a signing at 3. I was supposed to see Kaia today, but I had to reschedule to the next weekend.
At the signing, there was a girl there with short, curly, brown hair. She looked exactly like Kaia in the face.
When she and her friends came up to me, I stared at her for a long time.
"Is your name Ayla?" I asked her, remembering what Kaia told me about having a twin.
She nodded, and her friends automatically were jealous.
"How did you know?" She asked. I smiled at her.
"I'm friends with your sister."
Her face dropped. "Rosie? She's like, six."
Obviously, she wasn't the smartest girl I've ever met.
"No, Kaia."
She and her friends laughed, and I put a confused look on my face.
"Kaia has no friends," the one with the dark red hair said.
"Except for me," I replied. They looked like they were all about to scream with happiness that they had an actual conversation with me.

I have that effect on people.
