Reading all these quotes about how awesome it is when he texts you.

My girlfriend doesn't have a phone... Should I feel bad? XD

To quote this website: "A good quote is something witty, clever, funny or inspirational that you would want to hang on your wall and read again and again. A good quote is something you wouldn't be ashamed of if someone you knew read it. A good quote is something strangers would reblog or print out and hang on their walls."

So why is it that the quotes that speak out to me the most here rarely fit into these categories?

A depressed person who just wants to talk to someone? That's not 'funny.'

Someone writing about a moment that brightened their day? It's not necessarily 'witty' or 'inspirational.' (Well, maybe.)

People who love to write and post their stories here? Do you expect us to reflect on how 'clever' it is rather than the actual story?

If someone I knew read a few of my quotes, I'd be pretty embarrassed, and it could lead to serious rejection because Witty is where I talk about my true self. And I wouldn't really want people printing out my rants about depression and hanging them on their walls, just like I'm probably not going to hang a fifteen-chapter story on MY wall, no matter how good it is.

So I don't think that 'funny,' 'inspirational,' or 'clever' should define what's good and what isn't. Your words are your words- what right does anyone else have to categorize them?

I think the only qualification for a 'good quote' should be that it comes from the heart. <3

Thanks for reading this far! <3

(Aaaand I'll have to categorize my quote anyways. Good luck figuring out where this thing belongs...)

You're the only one who can change yourself.

If the worst has already happened, I don't have a reason to be scared anymore. <3

..................................................And you say that like you know everything about me. :)

"You thought I was a boy?!"

"You kind of have a boyish face, that's all."

........................I'm wearing a dress.

but it always seems like whenever I say "I'm okay"

the only person I'm really trying to reassure

is myself.

So my dad wanted my family to watch a movie together, so tonight we rented a movie off called "Killer Klowns from Outer Space." Throughout the entire thing it seemed like your typical 80's sci-fi, plus clowns, but once it ended I was sitting on my bed, thinking it over. That's when it hit me:

"honk. HONK. motherf*ckers. :0) "

...and then I lmao'd.

(If anyone gets this reference... PLEASE let me know...)
So I was reading Romeo and Juliet today, and I realized something.

In the time period it was written, girls weren't allowed to be actresses, so the boys played both the male and female roles. Now, Shakespeare had written tons of romance plays when he was alive.

...That thought just made Shakespeare THAT much more awesome to me. <3
For ever being born, thank you.
