dear david,
i'm sorry for the way i've been acting recently. i want to change, but you won't let me. i just want to be a better person (even though you say i'm already amazing). this is something i need to do for me. because you said i would either stay the same or lose you, i guess we're not friends anymore. i hope you understand how hard this is for me. i'm going to miss all the times you said i was your girl and that you loved me. i'm going to miss those good morning texts and the good night texts as well. but i have to do this. again, i'm really sorry. the first 15 years of your life have been really hard, but i hope the rest is amazing. you're so smart and nice and caring and sweet. i'll always love you. i hope one day you can forgive me and let me be your friend again.
