Worth
The Wait.
Chapter
Two;
We pulled in shortly at
the high school for the game. I jumped out of the car and took
off for the field. There were people everywhere; sitting on the
bleachers, walking around with their friends, grabbing food at
the consession stand.
"Isabelle!!" I turned to find three tall figures
almost towering me. Jennifer Lawrence stood in the middle,
Jaqueline Emmerson on the right, and Josh Hutcherson on the left.
These were Alex's friend's. I've met them so many
times that they're almost like siblings to me.
They were all so unique. Jenn was the tallest but her
figure was flawless, and she was a beauty. Her blonde waves
spilled down her shoulders and framed her glowing face. The star
quality about Jennifer would probably have to be her personality.
She has this goofy sense of humor and never passes up a chance to
make me laugh.
Jackie was a little taller than me. She's a petite, stick
thin ginger with big round eyes and a sweet smile. She's very
quiet, but she spends most of her time giggling. I'm sure I
got along with her best, probably because she's only a
freshman. I wasn't sure how she and Alexander met, but I was
never too worried about it.
Josh was like a big brother figure. He was pretty goofy as well,
but we all were. Josh is so short but he's wise beyond his
years. His soft brown eyes and chocolate colored hair made all
the girls practicallly drool. I didn't blame them, he was
pretty cute.
"Hey guys!" Alex's voice boomed from behind me,
practically giving me a heart attack. "Sorry, Is'
ditched me back there." He winked, "She gets a bit
excited.."
"So where's your girl?" Jennifer questioned, a
teasing grin plastered on her face.
Wait, huh?
"You have a girlfriend?" I sing-songed.
Alex's cheeks reddened before he groaned. "She's not
really my girlfriend. Nothing official."
"So you chose not to tell me about this almost-girlfriend,
Mr. Ludwig?" I giggled, elbowing him in the ribs
"Oh, There she is now!"
I followed his gaze over to the petite, blonde clicking her heels
our way. Her shoulder length curls were bouncing with every step
and her lip glossed smile was almost too perfect to be real. My
mouth formed into a straight line. So this is his
type?..
"Hi hi!!" The girl cheered. A fruity fragrance drifted
from her body. I had to prevent myself from judging her
automatically, but I dont think I could help myself. She was
clearly not his type. If I knew Alexander at all, he loves girls
who are real, and genuine and down to earth; girls who don't
overdue themselves..
I couldn't believe how ridiculous I was being. I haven't
even officially met this girl yet and I'm judging her
head-to-toe.
"Guys, this is Leven Rambin. Leven, these are my friends,
Jenn, Jackie, Josh, and Isabelle."
He pointed to each one of us as he introduced us. I smiled
politely back.
