Abandoned

Chapter 11
I woke up in the pale yellow room on the light blue bed laying
down next to Marissa. The sun was shining on the bed and I
checked the time; 7:53. I gently woke up Marissa and told her
that we had to get on the road so we could make it to camp on
time. She agreed and we checked out of the hotel room. We hit the
road and then I heard a familiar sound, Marissa's cell phone
was ringing. She picked up her iPhone and answered it. I could
hear a loud voice crying from the other side of the phone. Then I
felt my phone ring and vibrate. I answered the phone, it was
Logan. He told me between sobs that Kirsten only had today to
live. She was on life support in the San Diego Hospital. When I
looked over at Marissa she told me that it was Olivia who had
called her and that we needed to go to the hospital to say our
goodbyes. We sped all the way home and when we finally arrived
Marissa had fell asleep from crying so hard. I hated to see her
in pain. There wasn't any light in her eyes and she just
didn't look the same. We stepped into the hospital and asked
the girl in the front desk which room Kirsten Lowing was in, she
responded with a worried face and said "B-567." We
raced to the elevator and found the floor and room she was in.
Marissa rushed to her side and sobbed into Kirsten's hospital
bed. I walked in and stood by her side, next to Logan and I
talked to him a while. He was crying and I was too. None of us
wanted Kirsten to die. She meant so much to everyone. She was
sweet, loving, caring, and talented. When the time everyone was
there, including Kirsten's parents, they took Kirsten off of
life support and we watched her as she flew to heaven in the form
of an angel. We all were depressed and we just wanted her back.
It would be a long time before things were back to normal
again...
